I read the thread and the guy really knows his stuff. He did say though that the TB they make for the V6 will give you better throttle reponse but little to no hp gain. But then again... Its only $150.

I hear so much stuff about maintance issues that airlines let fly that would result in someone getting court marshaled in the Air Force. If only more people knew about the majority of safety issues Airlines ignore. But honeslty ignorance is bliss, until it kills you.

Yeah, FAA gives you the right to Defer and.. uh.. Boom?

Honest to god question: If cable A is found with 20% wear what is the appropriate procedure to correct?

Answer: Wear within limits, RTS. 50% is when you pull and re-rig.

At 47% I sure as hell hope someone don't go stomping on that rudder to crab in somewhere..

When in doubt, Ziptie. Or if you're United.. well look at what they did to their MD-80s.

OMG as a former Navy helo crewman that is HILARIOUS.

we weren't pilots but as aircrew I know the Plain Captians and Mechs hated us sometimes...

I always tried to be cool to the mechs cus they have it rough, but somedays we were just the guys who got to go fly and break the birds, while they had to fix em...

I need to send this to some of the guys I used to work with....

Dude, you think that's funny imagine being the fly on the wall at the shop for a 147 flight school. Weekly propstrikes and engine tear downs to make sure little timmy didn't bend the crankshaft on that 70K IO360.

Or if you hate him enough just let that crack in the prop tip go until it flings it through the windshield and makes timmy s**t himself. Wonder if I saved pics of that one. A NDT test result gone horribly wrong.

Then again Continental couldn't design an engine to save their ass because it seemed every time I walked in there they were pulling the number 5 and 6 jugs since they never seemed to cool right and *CRACK*..

There goes 10 grand..

If only I had the money for a Velocity SE... and then swap this 4.3L vortec out for their LS3 firewall aft package.
