TLDRing the thread, but I would honestly pick the Challenger. Why?
1) I hate Mustangs.. (past experiences) 2) I absolutely hate the styling of the Bullitt over the classic. So what if it had a badge delete, CAI, and new grille.. I could do that for less than MSRP. 3) I'd rather die in a Challenger wreck before I step into a Mustang. And that's the honest to god truth. It'll always be Camaro -> Challenger -> '06 Goat -> GM trucks.. IN that order. |

I voted Bullitt. I really want that car, but I want an SS more.

They did a comparo test of the Bullitt to the SRT and the SRT won.....
.... Not sure why they compared cars almost 10k apart but w/e bullitt all the way here. Quote:
Thats why the GT500 lost... its NOT all about speed. Have to take into account design, quality, uniqueness, etc.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

No Kevin, the Bullitt is considerably faster and lighter, make sure you watch that video I posted.

When they make the Bullitt for the 2010+ Mustang refresh (which they inevitably will), I'm sure it will look splendid.

I will bring back some numbers but they are both even in numbers and it would come down to a drivers race 0-60 but top end the 5.7 and 400'b of tq will beat the bullit.
btw plzz dont use magazines as a comparison because magazine test blow. edit: the multiple sites and drag times I have seen on the bullit it have it 0-60 in 5 flat which is faster than the average RT owners 0-60 which is 5.1-5.3 BUT the 1/4th mile (which was my point) the bullit's tiny 4.6 v8 went 0-60 in mid to high 13s....13.6 in most cases. All they did was paint a gt and put an intake in it...why would you think it would beat an RT with 400+lb of tq in the quarter mile...yet alone an SRT8. Again dont use magazines as they tend to be biased to one brand or another. car and driver got 4.7 0-60 in the SRT8 and in your comparison they got 5.1 for the srt8, see my point. Look up timeslips from actual owners and you will see the RT just has alot more tq than the bullit can handle. Last edited by kevin2323; 02-10-2009 at 07:59 PM. |
