His dad (Max Baer) was the Heavyweight Champion of the World in Boxing! His uncle Buddy, was also a boxer. His dad HIT HARD...one of the very hardest hitting Heavyweight Champs of all time! He had killed a guy in the ring. They called him The Clown Prince of Boxing, because he was always screwing around in the ring. He supposedly was really something physically, but he just didn't take the training too serioiusly. He was always chasing Skirts, instead of training hard! He would have been a much better fighter had he have! But what the heck, he was still the Heavyweight Champion of the World!

yeah.... I was just reading that.... I really don't follow boxing or anything.... not a big fan of it. I prefer less violent sports like ice hockey

I've always loved Professional Boxing more than any other sport! It's sad that there just aren't the numbers of top quality fighters nowadays! One thing that really screwed up things was all of this pay per view crap. It used to be when I was a kid, most all of the Title Bouts were on T.V. on the weekend, not to mention all the televised fights during the week! God I loved that! There was soooo much skill in pro boxing, but too few appreciated it! Oh well...!

lol, thats whats good about hockey..... its like boxing with a little bit of skating in the middle of it all

Ice Hockey is really a great sport to watch in person! But it just doesn't work on T.V. It's not filmed right. I have ideas how to do a better job with it, but nobody is asking. If they could ever get it to take off on T.V., it would catch on all over the country! But I would to clean up the fighting! Skate...you don't need to fight!

lol, I've played for years.... never gotten in a fight.... rarely had even a penalty

played for years.... then didn't play for about 6 years... just started playing again about 4 months ago. Haven't played in a couple weeks, I'm ready to get over this sickness and get back on the ice!
