I'm glad this helps keep you motivated but I would think looking in the mirror at your progress would be pretty motivating as well

What do you call a sudden urge for eggs, chicken, and steak then? I'm not even hungry, I just wan to eat right now. Lol

Sticking with the exercise is great, if you get controll of the dieting as well you will see steady progress, keep at it, practice makes perfect.

That is a craving for eggs chicken and steak, they just happen to be proteins LOL. Physical cravings are caused by insulin spikes and drops, when the insulin levels drop the body craves carbs to bring up insulin nlevels to a normal state. Insulin is created by eating high GI carbs, proteins do not generally raise insulin levels, Your cravings are mental not physical.

Too many people listen to their stomachs not their brains and then they need re-programming.

Looking pretty lean in those pics SSMOKINHOT.

I did poorly on my diet this weekend. I didn't eat bad, I just forgot to eat period. Yesterday I got busy and only had 1 scoop of ON Whey before church, some kind of egg thing my gal made about 12:30pm, then nothing else till dinner 8oz of flank steak, spinach salad, 1 cup green beans.

Weighed this morning for the record and I was at 163 and 10.7% BF.

I'm adjusting my diet a bit as I felt like crap toward the end of last week.

I'll be adding 1/4 cup of oats to my ON whey on workout days, and I'm having 1.5 scoop of the ON After Max PWO recovery with 1oz of raw unsalted almonds.

Today was Chest/Biceps

6:30am - 1 scoop ON whey - 1/4 cup oats thrown in

7:20am workout
HS Incline - 260 5/5/5/5/4
HS Bench - 225 @ 5x5
HS Decline - 305 @ 5x5
EZ Curl Bar - 105 @ 5x5
Seated Alt Dumbell Curl - 45 @ 5x5
HS Curl Machine - 105 @ 5x5
30 mins elliptical low intensity

9:30am - 1.5 scoop PWO After Max (20gr protein/20gr fast carbs 180cals) 1oz raw unsalted almonds

10am - 1 cup coffee (eliminating second cup to cut a few cals due to adding PWO shake)

12pm - 5oz pork chop cooked in 1/2 tbsp olive oil, 1 cup green beans, 1oz baked chips

3pm - 2 hard boiled egg whites, 1 carb master yogurt, 1 carrot, 1tbsp peanut butter, 1 tangerine

Dinner - 6oz flank steak, 1 cup green beans, spinach salad

The baked chips are almost gone, when they are I won't be getting more. I'll try this out for a week and see if the weight continues to drop. If I haven't lost some next Monday I'll have to cut some cals somewhere. Likely the carrot/peanut butter for starters.

I do feel MUCH better today and felt better during my workout as well so it looks like the oats were a help there. I just wanna be careful with the calories since I've been pretty consistently dropping almost exactly 1lb per week.

I gotta do better on the weekends.

I took a look at some ingredients on the packages this weekend. I found a peanut butter that had only one ingredient - peanuts. I'll get that one when my crappy peanut butter runs out.

However, I looked at the wheat thins ingredients and they were identical to the whole wheat ritz crackers I have now. If the ritz are bad, then wheat thins are too. I need some suggestions there, although I might can just eliminate that altogether with the added cals elsewhere.

I see you're making some good changes to your diet, I think it will pay off . One thing I will mention, post workout drinks as with the ON you are using contain protein and fast acting carbs and not much else, the idea is to raise your insulin level to break down the proteins and get them into your muscles as soon after your workout as possible, by adding the almonds(fat) you are being somewhat counter productive. Fat lowers the GI off the fast acting carbs and slows down the digestion, so you should hold off on the almonds for a while.

Good choice on the peanut butter after reading the ingredients you probably noticed a lot of stuff you avoid in your diet was in the peanut butter, curious as to what brand you chose.

As far as the wheat thins and ritz what is the purpose for eating them, is it just because you like them, added carbs, added cals, something to put your peanut butter on, knowing this may help with some suggestions.

Great news. Be carefull not to slip back, this is where a lot of people mess up. If you are going to keep up with the treadmill ( you should just for the health benefits)you might add about 300 cals to your diet for a couple of weeks, if you are still loosing up the cals by about 250 at a time untill you maintain your desired weight. Still keep your diet clean otherwise if there is weight gain you may not be able to determine what caused it and you will be back to square one.

No weight loss this week, but I take full responsibility for that. Ate poorly (not all junk, many days I just didn't eat enough!) didn't work out regularly, etc. I maintained so I'm happy and will just pick up where I left off. Heading to the gym tonight and sidestepping all of the Valentine candy all throughout the building at work!

It's good to see you're still with us.

Sometimes these things happen. Just pick up where you left off and all will be good. Valentines day is about love not love of candy, so just walk on by and remember we all love you.

After my lengthy stay in the hospital, being mis-diagnosed with a brain tumor, evidence of a previous stroke and a large whole in my heart I am dying to get back into my routine, so finally I am picking up where I left off and hoping to reach my previous goals and am ready to hit it hard. Although cutting wasn't one of them I will be shedding a few pounds and getting ripped again, SUMMER IS ON THE WAY.

Noted on the almonds....I'll move those around.

The ritz are mainly just to help me get tuna down. I hate fish.

The peanut butter I've been using is just the Kroger brand. While the nutrition info was identical to say Healthy Balance Natural Peanut Butter, the ingredients were WAY different. Hydrogenated vegetable oil was the 2nd ingredient (or something like that) on the Kroger brand, and the Healthy Balance was only one ingredient period - peanuts.

I just took a quick look at my diet adjustments and I'm still in line on calories so I think I'm good. I think I'll replace the baked chips at lunch with the almonds from PWO.

I grilled up a ton of flank steak yesterday, so that will be a lot of my lunch/dinners this week. That and baked chicken.
