2011 V6 Mustang snaps a driveshaft

This was posted on the Monte Carlo SS forum I frequent. The car is stock except for exhaust. Car was WOT at 100 when the driveshaft let go. The Ford dealer picked up the $1500 repair under warranty. Apparently these cars have a weak 2-piece driveshaft design.

Likely a structural defect in the shaft. This is the first time I have heard of a snapped driveshaft in the new mustangs when basically stock.
