Believe me, I fell in love with it when I first saw it! If they had already been made, there was a good chance I may have gotten one of those! I love how you can tear it all apart...ride open topped if you want! Yep, they need to make 'em!

WOAH! So... what does that make the LS3 to my LT1?

First cousin thrice removed?

Not sure how the system would work with the V8 (though I don't see why it wouldn't other than possibly not being able to handle the power) but if it would work and not cost a bunch, I don't see why I should be careful. More torque, better fuel economy. Sounds like a win-win, as long as maintenance costs aren't astronomical. But I assume GM weighed that in before using it in the LaCrosse/Regal.

I bet that this tech will be fairly common on GM larger vehicles in the not-so-distant future.

GM execs have already hinted that it will spread out from the Buick lineup in the near future.

I think thats a good thing. Hell, if I could retrofit it into my 93, I would. That would be amazing.

Actually, maybe I should work on that. It would be a great thing for car shows. "The 'Green' Green Camaro" featuring eAssist.

P.S. - Maybe I'm a bad person, but I'm actually really liking the new Mini Countryman. Its like... all the good things about Mini and then AWD thrown in.

I drove one of the AWD Countryman a few weeks ago.... I was totally impressed. The handling was great and it had a lot of pep. I thought it handled great, but once you hit the sport button.... that thing is insane! I'm 6'-2" and I fit in the back seat perfectly with plenty of room. I also liked how they spaced the pedals out a bit more than on the smaller ones.... I drove a CooperS and kept hitting 2 pedals with one foot . Didn't have any real turbolag to speak of... I got on the highway in 6th at 65mph and it still had some power left, I was impressed.
