great, I was probably reading more into it and wasn't as clear as I needed, my fault.. Thanks CFD!! Just wanted to make sure we all had the same understanding. We all good... nothing to see here, everyone move along! And speedy, I was on RYR for 3 months and it didn't do a thang for me.. it was frustrating to be on a restricted, clean diet for 6 months and it didn't make a difference. Now if it had made a difference, the 6 months of healthy eating would have felt like a win! |

There's this huge guy that comes in to the gym I go to. Nice guy and he's like 6'5 and he's gotta be 300lbs. First time I saw him I thought dang I bet he was a body builder at one time. You know big forearms but a gut.
Well, about 12 weeks later I see this guy in the locker room and he is shredded with nice round full muscle definition. He won 1st place in August show around here last year. I think he told me he dropped like 40lbs for the show. INSANE. So yeah I guess they do get used to it and their bodies adjust to it over the years. I'm lucky in that I can lose weight pretty easy it seems. I just have to be careful not to let it go too fast. Last time I did the keto full on for 12 weeks and I dropped to like 7.8% BF but I didn't like the way I looked. Too much like a runner rather than beefy. I figure I'll go with what I'm doing for now, then hit the keto diet at the very end if needed to get that last little bit. We'll see. I'm not going to compete or anything, this is just for fun. I haven't felt too bad on the diet. I am a bit more tired later in the day but that's to be expected dropping calories. At the gym I do fine, but I was a Marine and just mentally turn off any distractions from the goal. Muscles aren't cramping or doing anything weird like that so I figure I'm good. If I start to get muscle cramps or have issues I'll adjust as needed. The BB guy at the gym said he like OxyELite and Diamon X7 for cutting. You guys tried any of that kind of stuff? I've never needed anything like that but wanted to have something in mind just in case. |

I use an Omron BF monitor to check my BF % once a week on Monday. The place I get my physicals turned me on to it. They said it was within .1% accurate of their body scan machine that cost thousands based on the patients they'd compared it on. Even if it's not exact as long as it's moving in the right direction I don't sweat it too bad. I set it to my height and weight and to "athlete" since I'm not typical couch potato.

Yeah they always seem to ban the good stuff. I found a product back in 2006 that rocked. I gained 12 - 15 lbs of pure muscle over a 6 week period and dropped body fat at the same time. No fatigue at the gym what so ever and strength went through the roof. Not so coincidentally that is when I started having joint problems. I got all excited with the extra strength and pushed it too far, but the stuff flat worked. I just should have taken it a bit easier on the weight.
The only side effect I had was some muscle cramps and back pumps in my sleep. Bananas solved both problems and I upped my water intake. I did have to take some add'l supplements after I finished it though to level things out as it were. Of course, it too is now banned. |

ON Whey protein high quality protein, maltidextrose or other simple carb high GI same result but less calories if bulking. I myself always use a post workout shake followed by a solid mealf protein and carbs. |
