I enjoy it. Kind of like a big science experiment to me.

Malfunction doesn't sound good. Crikey.

Here's today's eats - no gym today I eat light on the weekends.

Breakfast
1 egg beater
2 turkey bacon
1/4 cup oats with 1tbsp splenda
2 cups coffee sugar free creamer

Lunch
1 scoop ON Whey
2tbsp peanut butter
1oz pretzels (took your advice CFD and added some carbs to this)

Dinner
Outback Special MMMMMMM (cheat meal #1)
9oz sirloin, steamed veggies, 4 slices bread with butter, salad with ranch
22oz Fosters beer

Just did about a 20 min walk after dinner. Nothing serious today.

pick up the protein in the morning (throw a few more eggs in there). Now, really 4 slices of bread at outback.. bad! :( and don't be scared to have 1.5 or 2 scoops of protein.

for the ON Whey, are you using ON PRO Complex or just the ON Whey? ON Pro Complex is really good and has a lot of extra vitamins and minerals, something needed on restricted diet.

You may have added carbs but poor quality, your eating plan "sucks" to be honest. Really, look at what you're eating how does this constitute a balanced diet. I hope to be getting out of the hospital today and will follow up with some meal recomendations when I do. I honestly think with good eating you will see major changes with your progress!!

Just venting here a little. I am sitting in my hospital bed finishing my so called breakfast, which by the way sucks and must tell you you would think hospitals would have healthy food choices but they don't, menus have been choices of meatloaf, cheeseburgers or hamburgers and french fries, french toast with sausages and syryp, meatballs and ziti with garlic bread and butter. They did have a couple of salad options which I opted for but no protein sources on most, fortunately I got a salad with grilled chicken for one meal. They had an option for breakfast this morning for an egg and cheese omlet, I asked if they could hold the cheese and they said no they are pre-made. So I got my omlet and scraped the mounds of cheese off of it and ended up with maybe 1 or 2 eggs, The staff all think I'm nuts 'cause I don't want to eat their crap and all tell me I should be eating more good stuff, after my 3rd pitcher of water one of the nurses said I am drinking too much water I told her she was wrong and she got upset. The thig that I find the most interesting is that I am as of last week 56 years old and in pretty good shape and almost everyone who has served my food or taken my test are WAY overweight and they are preaching to me,

I never understand why so many nurses are overweight!!! Aren't they suppose to lead by example.??? (maybe im missing something here)

It sucks they have bad food there... You would think a hospital would try to keep you "healthy" buy feeding you healthy food

Either way, I hope you are all good and will be out soon...

Absolutely right!! Nurses and doctors should be leading by example!! Same thing irritates me at my daughter's karate classes...the majority of the instructors are not only overweight, they are obese! I try my best to instill good eating habits and fitness in my daughter's (she is 6 yrs old) life, but at the same time don't want her to become obsessed with it either and go the total opposite way with it (anorexia, bulimia) in her teenage years. It was so funny, the other day I was doing P90X in my living room when one of her friends came over, and her friend asked "What are you doing?" and my daughter responds "She is doing P90X" and her friend asked "Why is she doing that?" and my daughter pipes up and says "So she don't get a fat butt!!" Of course later I explained to her that exercising has a lot more benefits than just not getting a fat butt!!

Using just the standard ON whey but it's almost time to order more. I'll check out the Pro Complex. Where's the best place to get it? Just checked my normal place and it's about $63 + shipping.

check out All Star Health or Advantage Supplements. should be about $50 for 4.4 lbs. Also look at Monster Milk (not Muscle milk but made by the same company). Both are great tasting and high in everything you need.
