Hydro-electric also has potential, but you have to create substantial reservoirs behind them to get any kind of reasonable amount of power output. And you'll never get the kind of power output from a hydro-electric dam as you would with a nuclear plant.

Find a way for the military to be in charge of the nuke plants and not be called socialism and it would fly better with the EPA n tree huggers.

Its very safe in their hands, but proven over and over again when its a company that first n fore most profits come first, they always take shortcuts somewhere down the line, to please someone above who plays oblivious to it.

Takes 10+ years to build a nuclear plant, takes months to build a coal plant.

We have enough coal to power the country for 300 years.

It seems no one has even looked at the link I provided earlier.

These Hyperion reactors are fairly easy to make, and will be rolling out in 2013-2014. They don't take 10 years to make.

you probably have a very low property value.

Not to worry, I`ve heard of them and followed their development. The one big advantage to Hyperion reactors if in the case of an emergency shutdown it can be done faster and more safely than traditional reactors.
