Yeah, I also thought that was a corvette race, then I saw the pickup trucks and thought to myself, this isn't going to be bad. Then I saw the mustang and knew for sure that I would slaughter them.

I finally got an idea what the deal was with those Seasonal Races Now I forget the name, but I finally raced that 'Vette race ya'll are talking about. I really only had one 'Vette that I had set-up. It was my completely mod'd ZR1 with I think a bit more than 900 horse'. I got in first with about two laps to spare, too. I was suprised to see the 5th Gen out front, lol. I felt kinda' bad, though, because it wasn't even really fun the last two laps because my car was too fast. I raced the Schwimmagin or whatever, too, and that was about a big waste. I think I only broke even, because I totally mod'd that one out, too, and it was a boring last lap... Everyone has been right, though (not like I questioned it though); credits and XP are crazy!!! From three races, I went from like the beginning of Level 21 through a lot of 22. If I didn't screw that Ferrari race up, I would've probably gotten really close to the top of 22, and had that extra money I was talking about. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE FOR THE TIPS!!! I just have to tune my 'Vette better, because it was pushing a lot.

One thing I wanted to add is that I was stupid, and didn't add all the earnings correctly in that Ferrari race. I went, bought a new car, totally mod'd it, then thought I'd be a smart ass and just go fast enough to place in every place, from 6th to 1st. My math wasn't good, and so when I layed my plan out to get each palce prize money and XP, I realized, after like an hour of playing, that I was like almost 300K credits less than if I just killed everyone and won the first race. I don't remember what the XP was, for getting first place, straight away, but it was less, too. THE BOTTOM LINE: RACE TO WIN!!!



CHRIS - I sent you a Friend Request and was going to send you an SS if you didn't mangage to get one yet.

MARK - I sent back your ZR-1. I found one on-line last night, and just sent back your car. I don't think I even drove it, lol. I know I didn't race it. I tried looking for the SS Concept, and didn't see it, and there were just too many S2000s that I wasn't for sure was the one you were looking for, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for you Thanks again

LMAO! That's usually how it works isn't it. You finally get one and the used market fills up with them. I now have 4 ZR-1's because I bought another two days ago, and when I sent mine to you with a different playstation it doesn't save over to the next. Then I filtered my cars and magically found a 4th one that I forgot I bought. LOL Two days ago was buy corvette day in the used lot. Cause there was 6 different ones at the top of the page.

EDIT: and you did drive it, because I think I checked your logs and said you did. lol

There were a BUNCH last night. I think I bought the L76 (I forgot the RPO ) C3, but there was another C4 GS, and a couple C1 ragtops. The C1s don't to anything for me, lol, and I had a GS already, but I was happy to see that ZR-1 That's funny you found that extra one, lol.

I'm pretty sure I didn't race it. I honestly don't remember driving it, but if I said I did, I must have, lol. If you like, I can mod' this one and send it to you I don't want to leave you thinking I jacked you or something

You need a ZR1? What Level are you? I think you have to be 15 or 16. If you are, I'll send you one. Those are relatively expensive. Whatever you do, if you want it to sound good, don't mod' it out completely, LOL!

Also for the Jeff Gordon races make sure all aids including especially ABS is off (if ABS is off it removes ASM which is locked on otherwise for some stupid reason, ASM slows you down a lot in a NASCAR on the oval).

I'm breaking in my ZR1 right now. Going for max horsepower...Yeah Chris, you read that right. In this game you got to break it in right to get the highest available HP.

So when do you guys think a good break in period is

I loved that stupid race - even when it would nose-dive into the wall when braking!

Having boring last laps made me slow way down on modding. Now I like to try "as is" first and watch to see if I'm falling behind or gaining during the first couple laps. If the car is falling behind or doesn't have enough oomph to gain on the straights, I'll bail out of the race and do some minor mods. I think it was the 2nd race in Bonus 5 that I won by 4 seconds with the car completely stock. I tried it a second time (still no changes) and won by 25 seconds since I was more familiar with that car on that track. Besides, I'm cheap and figure skipping on Racing Soft tires twice leaves enough credits to buy an entire car.

Don't know how long it takes, but the tip about changing the oil before you race a car for the first time seems to be true. It gives you a little extra HP!

FYI....There's a maximum amount that you can have in your account. $20 million. The game won't allow you to have more than that. The Red Bull X2010 costs $20 million. Unfortunately you have to wait till you're at level 40 to purchase one! [Or get one when you complete the Sebastian Vettel races?] I'm only at level 31. Even with the online bonus races, it is taking forever to get to level 40.
