UPDATE ON MIKE'S CONDITION
I still have not been able to speak directly to Mike since before the transplant on November 2nd...
He has only been home for a few days since then... He is back in the hospital yet again... I text him every few days and never get a response... I check his facebook page every single day and there have been no updates until today... His son posted that Mike was supposed to have another brain surgery, but the drs are waiting to see if things improve... I still have NO IDEA what the heck is going on with my buddy... I sent him another 'thinking of you' text today and nothing... I guess I will try to call his friends at the dealership to see what his status and prognosis is at this point... I feel so helpless here in NY, while he is suffering so much, for so long, all the way down in Virginia... He had the original surgery JULY 1ST... Please continue to pray real hard for Mike to have a full recovery, and to stay alive until he does... I am afraid his spirits and hopes for recovery must be very low after all this time... Thank you for taking the time to read this... Thanks for all the love and prayers and caring and concern so far... He still needs a lot more prayers, and prayers, and more prayers... I really really wish I could talk to him and hear his voice again, if only for a minute... Please pray for his entire family too...this has to be so hard for them...

UPDATE
The latest and worse news on my buddy Mike is that he now has lymphoma and is getting chemo...
He's still in the hospital and has been there almost non-stop since his transplant last November... He has been fighting very high fevers AND the cancer and also dealing with the transplant and all the anti-rejection drugs... Things are not looking so good for my dear friend, but I am still praying my heart out and would appreciate any and all prayers for Mike right now while he fights the latest complication of the transplant... If you read this thread from the very beginning, you will see that he had the original surgery to save his life last July 1st, almost a whole year ago...

Wow, Donna. He just can't catch a break. I hope he is able to fight this. He must be pretty tough to have gone through everything he has already. My prayers and thoughts will continue to be with him.

To make matters even worse, I just found out that Mike fell in the hospital, broke his hip, and had to have surgery last Friday...you just can't make this stuff up :(
