Yep, like lil_red said, sometimes the network will have a spot where you can watch past episodes. Some networks will make the episode available within 24 hours while others make you wait for a full week

A lot of channels will post up at least recent episodes, often entire seasons, on their website. I have no experience with Hulu because its blocked in Canada.

I just download whatever show I missed. But our local cable provider has started this new thing called "look back" on a few of the channels, and you can basically On-Demand a show up to 10 days or so after it has aired...

One thing I can suggest is that if you have digital & DVR, set it up to record.

In addition to that, my cable company (Comcast) puts up a lot of the episides on it's OnDemand area shortly after broadcast. In addition, you can watch those same shows online on your computer.

Living in Russia, I deal with sites being blocked all the time. All you have to do is use a proxy server in the US, and you can access any blocked site. It's so stupid! They block these sites and only people that don't have bad intentions are the only ones that can't access them. Anyone that wants to do something underhanded already knows how to get access anyway. I guess it's a way of keeping honest Russians and Canadians honest?

I can't be bothered to setup a proxy, there have only been one or two instances where I haven't been able to find an equivelent in Canada, most Americans shows are rebroadcast on Canadian channels and they do the same thing on the web. So if there was something on America's Comedy Central (or its website), you'd probably be able to see it on Canada's Comedy Network (or its website). Same thing happens with the major networks and a lot of the specialty channels. But I imagine its a very different story in Russia.

www.google.com

Seriously, just use google.

Let's say you missed Top Gear episode 125 (just a made up example).

Search: "Top Gear" and "125" and "streaming"

Switch it around a little bit if that doesn't work to maybe:

"Top Gear" and "episode 125"

Or you can search the torrent titling like, "Top Gear S6E22" (season 6 episode 22, just another made up example)

Also, if you find a blog that posts streaming copies of whatever tv show you are looking for, bookmark it because in all likelihood they do it every week.

I don't even have cable anymore. I just have my laptop w/ an HDMI splitter hooked up to my tv and a wireless keyboard and mouse. I always have 3-4 windows open in different frames. That way I can "flip" between CNN, MSNBC, ESPN/ESPN2, and whatever I want to look up at that moment.
