I can't wait for the lightweight Alpha platform.

As far as I know, the Impala is supposed to stay FWD. And those who buy Impala's usually like them a lot. But enthusiasts seem to hate it.

Oohoohoohoo...a RWD Buick? I love the sound of that! How long has it been since that's happened?
for the cars it was the 96 Roadmaster and Roadmaster wagon but if you count the SUV the Rainer SUV (cousin of the Trailblazer) was rear or four wheel drive .

Enthusiasts will have a RWD sedan coming to them in the near future. Internal product program code is supposedly Z2SC.

It's gotta be a Chevy variant of the G8! I just hope that it doesn't look like the renderings that were posted on other threads.

I wonder how many will read that code as 'Zeta II Supercharged'

The Commodore, which the G8 was based off of, is reaching the end of its current generation. So if there is a future RWD Chevy sedan in North America (there are others around the world right now), it will be somewhat different from the G8

It's not due until 2014ish, so it will most likely be an NA-spec VF Commodore instead of the VE.

I thought Malibu was shrinking? And Impala was growing?
Malibu shrinking?? It's already barely bigger than the Cruze, isn't it?

Nope, the Malibu is over 10 inches longer than the Cruze. It's on the big side for a "midsized" car...and the Impala is neither too big or too small for the "full size/large" segment.
