I did the same and went from like 18-25 in a day and it pays some good money too... just get the cars for it which can cost.

The Bonus races often require cars that you wouldn't normally have because you don't need them to complete the regular A/B-spec races. You'll have to buy them from the New Car lot but, even if you modify it to win the bonus, you'll still gain 100k to several-100k in credits. Plus, you'll have the car and gain major XP. Sometimes you'll luck out. I already had the Lexus IS F Racing Concept '08 that I used to win the Extreme German Touring Car A/B-spec. I used that in the last Bonus 5 race and got to pocket the full 2 million credits.

Time Trial races award no credits or XP, just bragging rights.

Drift? Never tried it.

I'm still in the beginner A spec events and I tried that stupid...eruo heritage race where you have to use a car from Europe between 60 and 79... all I could buy was this stupid fiat that wasn't no where near able to keep up with the other cars...

in the end wasted like 14 grand.... stupid.

so then I go back to the licenses and I'm on the last one of the third series of licenses...

You can't touch ANYTHING!!!!! and the car they give you is so damn loose that I have no chance. I have yet to even finish two laps without being disqualified...

it there a good way to practice and earn some cash along the way?????

I didn't know I had to be a car history guru to use this game... LOL

But my dumbass will play it for 3 hours till 1 am whenever I can....

This game always sucks at the beginning. Wait until you get your camaro, or your corvette. When I first got the game I was racing with the camaro, and I won a car. Accidentally, I put 100,000 dollars worth of mods on that car instead of what I thought I was putting them on (the camaro). Yep, I don't remember what the car was, but after a 100,000 dollars worth of mods the car was up to 60 some horsepower. Yeah, then you can complain about wasting cash.

THANKS! I was looking and tried the drifting, but I didn't want to spend more time tuning my car just for the event, especially if I can't save it and just reload an existing tune when I want, unlike FM3. It looks like we just have to bite the bullet, buy the cars and mod', and have at it.

Thanks everyone for the insight!!!

Yeah - I bought that stupid Fiat, I think, and got tires and filter, minor exhaust, tune, and like Stage 1 and was left at the start like I was tied to a post. Everyone is saying these are the races to go with for credits and XP, so I should just start listening

HOLY CRAP... I did one of the seasonal events...You had to drive a Vette. With a rolling start and you have 5 laps to chase down 12 cars... I only got to like 7th and won like 250K and jumped from 10 to 13....

Sweet.

That one made me laugh because all the first vehicles I passed were pickups. "What the... I thought this was a Corvette race!?!?!?"
Did you check out the Online Dealership? LOTS of great Corvettes for sale! I went on another buying binge and finally got the older Vettes that I've been looking for. YAY!

after I throw some more mods at it.. I should be able to place better.

I'm still trying to figure out the connection (if any), but I know my '10 exhaust went all RICE after I went with the Ti exhaust. I think I'm still running the Stage 2 Engine Upgrade on that particular CAMARO, but at least it still sounds like a V8. My all-out SS sounds like RICE; so does my all-out ZR1.

I don't know if you care about the sound, but that's JMVHO. I've found the '69 Z28 actually sounds really cool completely mod'd! Shoot - it even has a great lope!

I didn't even notice it in a car list, but I picked up a '69 SS a couple nights ago, too. That was a cool suprise.

I keep racing that Professional Musclecar Race, and with a completely mod'd SS, I can almost lap the last place car before the end of the race. My "Z28-clone", if you will (SS with a Stage 2 Engine Upgrade that's about 630 horse' or something), is about five seconds behind, but getting closer.

radZ28 - I get the same results whenever I add the "best" exhaust, too. :( Hey, what color is your 69 SS? So far all I've found is brown metallic and I'm curious if there are other colors.

I'm glad it's not just me per se (it sucks for everyone looking for that sound). It seems like it isn't for all cars, though, so I haven't made a comfortable connection I could stand behind, but it's annoying regardless. Yes - that '69 SS was a brown, too. That's the first one I noticed, so I picked it up right there. I think it was Monday night...

LMAo! I got first in that last night with 860HP Z06 with two laps to spare. I think I won 1.5 mil.

Yeah, I also thought that was a corvette race, then I saw the pickup trucks and thought to myself, this isn't going to be bad. Then I saw the mustang and knew for sure that I would slaughter them.

Mine is Grey with black stripes. I'm pretty sure I bought it that way.
