This was the most innovative game by far that had come out up to that time (1983). I remember it cost 50c instead of a quarter to play it.

No it was a single player game. It was innovative because it used laser disks to advance the story, which allowed full cartoon animation.

Wikipedia article explains it better: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon%27s_Lair

Wow, forgot all about those red C-clamps! That suddenly brought back some memories of clamping those to the coffee table!

Finally got around to reading this thread.

If there EVER was a time for an official 'PQ Stamp of Approval' , THIS thread gets it.

OMG............ YES. Meery-go-rounds and those metal domes to climb on.

What a bunch of wimps this country will be in 20 years.

OH, and TJ, I think even kicking a puppy was ok back then. If not, I never got that memo.

And THIS, almost brought a tear to my eyes.

I was all about the Star Wars sit-in game at my little league pizza parties. It blew my mind.

Yeah, somewhere in my basement I have that football game and the second one too. I was a straight addict to both of them.
