I still have scars from doing a faceplant off my new skateboard, my knees from swinging on the playground as high as possible, leaping out of the seat to see who could go the farthest then picking the peagravel out when you didn't land on your feet. I have laughed hysterically with memories...as Edith & Archie would say: "those were the days!".

What I remember (and still get made fun of to this day by my brother) is my brother, myself and a bunch of neighborhood kids saw a beehive above someone's car port. We gathered all the tennis balls we could find and threw them at the beehive until it exploded with bees!!! Everyone ran, yet I was the only one to get stung in the back of the neck

All due to the parents, who refuse to keep their 'little gem' out of the gene pool when it should have been splat, fried, blown up, hamburger'd, etc..

I agree, the millennials are a generation of bubble children. Myself included unfortunately.

these were awesome with the brake handle on the wheel! Anyone else flat spot that right wheel? Then have to deal with it beating your ass going down a hill

These were the two big wheels I had when I was younger, and no that's not me in the second picture.

Yes to your question about the right wheel Garcmol.

hahaha.... yeah today kids don't pedal their toys; they have batteries. And when it goes dead they just leave it wherever it died! Then the parent has to go find it.

I can't remember how many times my friends and I would race down a big hill and use the hand brake to power slide at the bottom then turn around and push our big wheels back up the hill to do it again.

almost everyday after school, me and my buddies vs. kids from across the river used river rocks the size of play marbles in our sling shots and went to war. I can't remember the number of times we went home bleeding, big knots all over our bodies, etc. Sling shot is a big no-no now.

OMG I can think of plenty of things we did back in the day ...and of course live to tell about it LOL

I remember having a neighbor hood bicycle drag race (pole to pole heads up with friends from school) on Saturday mornings when we wasnt playing football and the grown ups would give like 20 dollars to the winner (20 bucks was a lot of money in the late 70's - early 80's). We be out there checking tires and chains and stuff with a pair of grip pliers attached to the seat pole (LOL).

This was my winning bike LOL (well similar to this)

Or better yet ... jumping water puddles with a piece of plywood and cinderblocks for a ramp (yes I seen some crashes that should been on an episode of "And They Walked Away..." ... to include myself LOL)

I could go on all day LOL

I tell ya it aint the same like that no more :(

I remember doing the bike races and big wheel, I had a big wheel that had a battery operated water gun on it, I remember going to the park and squirting all the bigger kids then would haul ass home and run I'm the house. I remember throwing some kids cats on the roof cuz I didn't like him. I remember my best friend his little brother and I would get on big wheels and have demolition derbys with them, excpet I would cheat and get the cast iron peddle tractor. He and I did dumbshit with riding mower to. Like we both got on it one time got on a dirt hill and he opened the governor and let the brake go, and that thing stood straight up, imagine the outcome if it would have fell back on us. Shit we was like 8 or 9 when we did this. I also remember he would have his bro hold the riding mower back till the back tires would smoke, then his bro would let go and my friend would go flying out of the garage. Damn those were fun times, sucks to be grown up
