Yes cops and robbers with BB guns and sling shots launching M-80's and if you Hit em above the collar, you were out until a new game started and if we wasn't home by 9PM I got my A$$ beat with a HotWheels track. Next day out we were Blowing stuff up and doing the cowboy and indians on go carts and mini bikes and the pump bb guns sucked as far as how many kills you could get but when you did NAIL your buddy he new he was OUT!

My cousin and I did that a handful of times to each other.

I would catch hairspray on fire and kill ants; tie our bikes together and wipe out resulting in a hamburger face; and of do jumps with my bike in thongs (flip flops for you younger followers)...should have had stitches when the spiked peddle implanted itself a 1/4 inch into the back of my foot! Dad said put a band-aide on it. My kid melts if the sun touches his skin.

I remember kids used to get a trophy if they actually WON something. A baseball tournament, basketball conference title etc. Now everybody gets a trophy and a plaque for "participating". WTF!!!! Are we teaching kids that in life you never come in 2nd? How can they learn to deal with failure and STRIVE to do better when they think mediocrity is OK?

No kidding...my 6 year old daughter brought home literature a few days ago about bullying and cyber bullying!!

My thoughts are kids are coddled too friggin much these days!! They get trophies even when they loose! Plus, parents aren't allowed to use spanking as a discipline method or child protective services will be on them like white on rice!! So, kids get a little bullied at school and they are so "wimped out" that they can't handle the pressure and kill themselves!!

WTF??? Toughen Up!!!

I think this topic is directly related to the "OMG BULLYING IN OUR SCHOOLS" problem these days.

Bullying has been around as long as public school, and it will always exist in one form or another. It's tragic to see a kid commit suicide because of bullying and facebook harassment, but if more kids ate it on their bikes/faceplanted off a skateboard/took an airsoft round to the back/weren't so effing coddled, maybe they'd have thicker skin at school and in their interpersonal relationships.

Umm.. I hope to GOD I don't get banned for this one...

Anyone remember "Smear the Queer?"

I guess sort of on the same topic, I'm a bit gun shy about even typing that in..

What about Ball Tag with a racquetball and the dreaded firing squad?
