Anyone know when the Suburban will be redesigned ? Thinking of getting a new one was wondering how much longer the current design will be around .

My guess would be 2014 MY, and I wouldn't be surprised if GM switches it to a unibody crossover platform for its next generation. But this is all merely guessing.

I heard the Escalade was downsizing. Are the Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban doing the same?

From what I last heard, Q4 2013.

Sierra/Silverado in fall of next year
Yukon/Tahoe in Q3 of 2013
Yukon XL/Suburban/Escalade/Escalade ESV in Q4 of 2013

Escalade EXT/Avalanche = Dead.

As far as I know they're staying BOF. However Cadillac may get a Lambda (think of a larger SRX), that's still up in the air.

It's a darn shame the Avalanche isn't selling well. That's an awesome truck.

Interesting to hear about the Silverado...they're really turning around quickly on their bread and butter vehicles (ie Malibu/Silverado are both being redesigned/touched up after only 4 years...). Good. Constant improvement, and constant spotlight!!

Bit longer than that for the Silverado. It debuted as a 2007, and fall of next year will be 2013 MY, giving it a fairly average 6 year life cycle.

The only thing accurate in this post is that the Avalanche/Escalade EXT is going away. That's all I can say without the Black Suburbans coming after me.
