yep.... good thing I'm gonna be 21... QUICKLY! I've had a couple run-ins with scum like this, one time an arm drunk tried to rob me and 3 friends in a jeep with no windows to roll up at 2am one night after getting off work.... blocked in, couldn't move. Good thing there was a cop in the back seat with his Glock .357 and I had a little Walther PPK .380 under the seat (the driver's).... boy, he got a surprise . Good thing we got CCW here, already signed up for the class, got one just a few days after my b-day (only 53 days til 21 btw)

Just be careful! Make sure if you've GOT TO DO IT, that it's a clean shoot!

couple loads of birdshot to the chest at 15 yds.... and fairly rapid fire from my .22 at 50 yards or so.... I believe that did the trick .


this was a few months ago, first time picking up a pistol in a year or so.... Glock 22 (.40S&W) at 20 yards.... pulled the first couple shots, but ok I guess for being rusty. I'm mainly getting the CCW to make it easier to buy (no pistol purchase permit required) and the background check is faster with a CCW. I plan to try to get back into pistol or 3 gun shooting.... should be fun . Check out my handy work

you'd probably like to try some of the stuff we've done here at the range... used to do it every wednesday night... we called it "Poker night". Had a set of targets printed up with a full deck of playing cards (actual size of a card) all in random order.... usually shot at 10-15 yards, had 5 shots, 20 seconds... defense caliber pistols only with no scopes or lasers allowed. Hardest part was trying to read the dang cards though! The real fun was when we'd have a tie..... have each shooter's target up, they can't look, have to stand with their back down range, someone sets a playing card on the table next to them, blow the whistle, turn around and turn the card over, then you have to find that card, shoot it and shoot it before the other person does.... it goes on til someone hits it.... and boy, that's the best part!

It sounds like you guys have alot of fun down there! The shooting sports are great! Don't ever quit if you don't have to!

well, started doing it at 18, did it for a year or so... just got to be such a pain having to borrow a pistol from either the range or someone else.... never knew what I was going to be shooting... although it got me trained on a wide variety of firearms. We'd shoot 4 rounds of 5 shots.... so only use 20 rounds a night (unless a tie)... so I'd always have left overs, and the next week I'd always have a different caliber . Never worked out in my favor. At one point, I had boxes of 9mm, .40, .45, .38spl and .357 sig all in my trunk going to it . And of course, I'd end up shooting something I didn't have
