OOOO MMMM GGGGG my thighs and glutes are freakin' killing me! I wasn't sure I was going to make it down the stairs to come to work this morning! BodyPump is my nemesis! I WILL conquer it, but right now, I just want to die.

Other than that, great week LOL

Here's a quote I felt was appropriate for the end of the week:

"Suffer the pain of discipline or suffer the pain of regret!"

Well

I lost 4 pounds without exercising or doing anything. It's called being bed ridden for two days, dehydrated, and can't hold any food down.
I have also given up my Starbucks Frappunico Double Chocalte Chip. It's a extra 400 calories a day I don't need By saving $4.00 bucks a day it's a extra $120 in my pocket a month

I see everyone is hurtin', well good for you..I myself feel great, after a very physical week yesterday I was hurting pretty good myself.Today I awakened with almost no soreness what so ever, I have seen this before, it means my muscles have recouperated very quickly and I will without a doubt see a significant increase in the weight I will lift .I will finish up week 1 tomorrow and can't wait for week 2 to begin on Monday when I hit it hard, meanwhile I will be upping protein and starchy carbs slightly, gotta feed them muscles. Keep up the good work, you all inspire me to push harder.

Friday "Weigh-in"

26 Dec - Weight 143 / Body fat 24.6%
7 Jan - Weight 140 / Body fat 21.8%
14 Jan - Weight 138/Body fat 23.4%

Thinking it is kinda weird for my body fat to jump up like that, but thinking maybe my hydration level may have effected my measurement...either that, or maybe the drop last week was too good to be true and a fluke reading? Guess we will see next week!

I definitely feel toner everywhere and my flexibility has definitely increased!! And last night my hubby commented on being able to see more definition in my abs!!! Now THAT is motivational!!!

I think it may be something affecting your reading, normally body fat increases or decreases are not that much in that short of a period in time, I would keep to your current program and check again next week, if there is even a slight increase in body fat again I would look at calorie intake, it could be high and oddly enough if it was too low for a period of time it could be the cause as well. This is where keeping accurate journals of food intake and exercise comes in. Don't take a knee-jerk approach and change anything at this point especially where other indicators show the opposite. Don't forget fat loss or gains are'nt steady in any direction or the other it's like a road race sometime there are inclines and sometimes declines but the finish line is ahead.

What are you using to measure BF? Theirs only one really accurate method is called...and correct me if im wrong hydrostatic testing...Other methods can be off by a fairly decent ammount.

I use an Omron body fat analyzer. It is a bioelectrical impedance analyzer and only gives you a good estimate your body fat volume and body fat percentage.

I read they have xrays out now that can measure your body fat and they are even more accurate than the hydrostatic testing...but that is too pricey for me and I don't really need that accurate of a measurement for my purposes.

When I asked my trainer if he could get my fat pecentage he said ok but we can't just check it now, he said I would have to wait till the next day and not eat or drink anything for like 4 hours or so before he could do the test, needless to say I never had it done because of my tight schedule, but what I'm saying is I don't think anything will give a proper reading unless you go to a fitness trainer (expert) and have it done the "proper" way. I wouldn't worry too much about that, just keep doing what your doing and what makes sense.
