Woman should then learn rather than eat something when you get emotional find something to beat on, your husband, boy friend doesn't matter, you get the satisfaction of releasing your frustrations and the benefit of exercise, I myself use a heavy bag.

Avoiding juice is very good. DON"T DRINK YOUR CALORIES, EAT THEM.

Well, now that I have digested my lunch, turkey on 12 grain bread with a slice of reduced fat provolone, spinach, tomato and mustard, with two bottles of water( I do practice what I preach) I must tackle shoveling some more of this snow that's still pilling up. If you don't hear from me soon send the paramedics to Foxborough, we have a lot of snow.

I seem to be able to lose weight by just watching the carbs,I can lose 20lb in three or four weeks. Being a diabetic I crave sweets so it's not easy.

So here's what I've eaten today:

Atkins protein shake (160 cal, 10g fat, 5g carb, 15g protein)
1 packet of instant oatmeal (130, 2, 23, 4)
Lean pocket (210, 7, 21 ,20)
Broccoli/cheese for 1 (the Green Giant trays) (45, 1.5, 7, 2)
light cheesestick (60, 2.5, 1, 8)
100 calorie pack almonds (100, 9, 4, 4)

No clue what I'm going to have for dinner, but I'm thinking about 3 oz or so of fish and some green beans or edamame.

I'm 5'10", 219, working out almost everyday for at least 30 minutes (alternating cardio and weights)

Any suggestions?

I can do this too, but I alway gain at least half of it back! I want to change the way I eat all the time, not just for the short term. If I don't change mentally, it'll never stay off!

The big thing with low carbs is the water you lose and slowly introducing carbs back into your diet. Alot of people come of Keto diets with way to many carbs , or even just low carb diets. If you do go low carb start putting carbs back in slowly, add like 30-50g per day, then the next week another 30-50 until you are holding steady.

And yes its a lifestyle change not a temporary thing!

Some people can reduce carbs slighly and lose weight, they are what is known as carb sensitive. That's why when you start a diet normally you would go with a moderate carb intake (so as not to reduce them to much) and then adjust from there. Everyones body processes food differently. That is also why as I mentioned before not only is it important to watch your calories but the ratios of carbs protein and fat, it really is VERY important more so for those that don't see results quickly. Most of the time people keep reducing calories whe in fact they usually go to low, more often an adjustment in the ratios is what's needed. I'm gonna keep saying this 'cause it's true.

This is why a lot of the fad diets are so popular, if you look at most of them they reduce carbs drastically which results in instant WEIGHT loss not fat loss, but people on them hop on the scale and wham, they think I lost all this weight this diets great. but they ALWAYS gain it back because you cannot reduce carbs to low for a long period of time. When you start eating carbs again (you will) your body says I've been deprived of carbs so long I'm going to store these and yes they get stored as fat. You cannot stop this it's known as survival mode. There have been some diets, I believe Atkins is one of them that reduce carbs quite low and worked but it backfired but after a while they revised the diet which now started re-introducing carbs gradually as metallicide has suggested and it has proven much more succesful and still is today.

I took a two day break, but made up with 30 minutes of ab ripper X and 30 minutes of yoga X (a lot harder than I thought it would be).

I've never done yoga, so after doing 30 minutes of it and realizing there was still over an hour left I had to call it a day. I didn't think I would sweat like that.
