I've been watching this thing for so long I just have to tell you, not meaning to get off subject but every time I see your avital I laugh and the realize how much it sucks LOL. But then I'm sure you've heard that before. By the way usually getting in shape and loosing weight go hand in hand.

The thing is no matter how bad or hopeless it seems it's not hopeless just challenging. It takes patience a common sence approach and HARD WORK but beleive me it won't kill you ( if you follow reasonable guide lines) and most likely will save your life, besides the added benefit of looking hot.
I understand that there are plenty of people who can stay that way their whole lives. My comment was more of a note that too many people feel they can do what they did as kids and it won't ever catch up to them, when many of those things will catch up.

I like making people laugh.
I know I'm going to loose weight, but I don't want to loose more than 10.. My goal is to stay at 200.

I completely understand. I myself am one . Up intill I was in mid 20's I always weighed 165 @ 6'2" and was always muscular at that weight and would eat anything in site. In my mid 30"s I crept up to 175 but still muscular and stayed that way untill my mid 40"s throughout my drag racing career. Then I woke up one day and I was 230. That's when I started reaserching the info I'm trying to pass on here. I know it works for all body types ( sometimes with adjustments for those few percent). I've passed this same info onto others who followed it and saw the same results, these suggestions DO WORK but you have to commit and do the required work. My statement was mainly for general info, sometimes someone will eat right and work hard basically do everything right and do not make progress, and look at the guy next to him like our fellow posters and eat every pice of crap man created and stay skinny. The reason is body type. So the comment was meant for people not to get discouraged. If you honestly follow the guide lines and suggestions some of the knowledgeable people here have suggested and aren't getting any where and have kept accurate records you can post them here and perhaps some of us can make suggestions but if you don't follow the basics and keep records you will eventually make progress although minimal or give up. Don't let that happen.

Sometimes weight is not important, you have to listen to your body, If I start cutting and lose a little body fat at 56 my abs still pop but I stay where I am ( yes I've got a little bit of a belly) because I feel good at this weight. Not saying I feel bad when I'm cut just in general feel good where I am and that's what's important.

I'll be fine loosing as much as my body looses right now. But if I'm not at my ideal weight after all is said and done I will start to bulk up.
In other words. I just want to loose the extra rolls and chins

Today is my cheat day but i'm still checking in.

Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs, 1 pc of bacon, half a slice of whole wheat toast.
Lunch: 1.5c of chicken and yellow rice, 1 hard boiled egg, and a handfull of pecans.
Dinner: Seafood enchiladas and a mojito

Workout: 20 mins in intervals on treadmill, 25 minutes in intervals on eliptical,
and then two ab super sets

I'm feeling great!! And Skip even walked in and told me I was looking skinnier today. What a wonderful man.

Day 4.
Plyometrics was a B*#$&!
Call me a wuss. But I only did 25 minutes of it.

Now I'm going to eat some left over alfredo pasta and maybe some chicken soup and a sandwich for dinner.

Since I haven't really been updating what I have been doing. I'll do it here

Day 1:
40 minutes of chest and back.
I pretty much only did the Push-up variations, since I have nowhere to do the pull-ups and chin-ups. But I will go to the gym and make up for it.

Day 2:
Took a break. I know, I know, but I was coing down with a cold and had school all day that day.

Day 3:
I kicked the cold's A$$ and did 30 minutes of Ab Ripper X

Day 4 is up above.
I know it doesn't seem like much, but it is the first week and first time I have done any solid workouts in almost 3 years and since I got my knee surgery.
I will begin to do more every week.

I'm also taking a no shirt picture every week. If anyone is interested in seeing the difference once I am done.

Hey everybody Happy New Year! I lost 60 pounds total last year. I lost 8 inches off my waist (size 42" pants to 34") I bought a book called "Eat This! Not That!" & did about 45 minutes of cardio (mainly the elliptical) for 3-4 days a week. I'm telling you I started shedding pounds like no tomorrow. With the book I just swapped everything I normally eat with healthier alternatives listed in the book. I changed breakfast cereals, bread, orange juice, snacks, etc. If it was a book that just listed what NOT to eat and no alternatives I would've never bought it. That's why diets are so hard to stick to. You deprive yourself of foods you love but you don't know what to eat in place of it, well this book tells you. I still ate Wendy's, Subway, McDonald's alot due to my work hours but when I went there I knew which were better choices. 6 people at my work bought the book after I told them about it

Here's the book:

Good luck to everybody!

Here's my before/after:

From what I can see from the cover they are suggesting a big mac over the wopper to save on cals and fat. Well I guess in fact you would be eating less cals BUT YOU'VE GOTTA BE JOKIN" ME, RIGHT. Honestly any book that suggests eating a smaller amount of s^&T is better IMHO is not worth spending money on. I don't recall the names but there are books that are based on the same idea that would suggest picking one of their healthier salads, those books just like their food choices might be a better option.
