We Were Soldiers
Anyone seen this movie? I've seen the history channel account of the battle but just saw the movie the other night. It's the first real battle for the US in Vietnam.
Intense is all I can say. |

Awesome movie. I MADE my son watch that movie. Nothing hollywoodish about that one. Real as it gets. Bonnie had a hard time with it.

I seen it while I was still in the Army. My wife never understood why I'd get alittle choked up after seeing it. Till her little brother went into the Marines. She has alittle better idea why now.
That and Black Hawk Down, both great movies. |

Blackhawk down pisses me off. Everytime I see that movie I want to do bad things to the idiots that were in charge. Lived through shit like that and no one should ever have something like that happen due to political pressure. Unfortunately it is still going on today, and as long as there are politicians, it will continue to happen.
We Were Soldiers chokes me up every time. Great movie.
