I've asked Bonnie and hrpii to be mentors

Who wouldn't want to look like those two?

So let's keep track of our goals, and help each other
with support and ideas to make this a sucess.

I'll start.....
My goal is to lose 25 lbs and I plan to
do the Atkins Diet. It worked for me for years...
and then .

I know I can do it
I know I'll get the support I need
from my friends here

So post it up.....
Let's see how much we can collectively lose!

Im in. I started with Weight Watchers before summer in 2010 and lost 59 pounds. December had some set backs and the holidays so added back about 8. Its a life long struggle but always good to have the support and accountablitiy from friends. So back on the program tomorrow morning. Besides added weight loss for the Camaro = added HP = )

You need more calories and carbs to put some meat on that body. That is a good diet to stay lean on with your lifting though. But with what you started, don't stop there, go for it and get big. And no, you're not huge standing beside me.

great job, you will learn a lot about putting meals together.

Coop, shoot me a PM with more details about your height, weight, daily routine and let's see if we can get you a meal plan together with a good workout plan.

I'm not planning on starting a diet until I get back from my vacation in a couple of weeks. But I am here at work right now and there is a gym in the building next to the one my office is in... you guys have me motivated to go do something right now. I'll go do the first thing someone tells me to do and check back in when I'm done. So let me have it...

Okay, I de-junked our house tonight and went to the store and bought a lot of fruit, leafy veggies, and healthy snacks. I'm excited about getting back to feeling good again because I am not eating junk all the time!!

I am also going to try to go back to my deep water advanced water aerobics class this week. I am not going to use the weights in the water though and see if my shoulder can handle it.

Sounds like you ladies are off to a good start... I'm still looking for someone to challenge me to do something in the gym though.

I'm in.

I'm at 240 right now.

I was down to 206 in the academy. Like Chris, I want to drop 25lbs, but also want to bulk up and add some muscle. I've got a 12 week diet/workout plan and need to get started. Finding the time to get to the gym has been most challenging part of all of this. But, I'm in.

Treadmill...30 minutes (to start). Walk...run...whatever. But, don't stop. I don't know how far or for how long you can run. But, try to get where you can continue to run/jog (no stopping) for a mile and then move up...1.25 miles, then 1.5, up to 2, etc. If running isn't your thing, get on the elliptical. 30 minutes at least.

There was a time when I was in the gym for an hour and a half. 30 to 40 min cardio and the rest lifting. God, it was great. And then, I didn't know how to eat. I can only cross my fingers and hope that I can find that time to get back in and do my stuff but eat right while I'm at it.

Just get in the gym. 30 min. That's a starter. From there, step it up!
