I had an LS1 Auto Z28 and it ran 13.5s @ 105 mph or so all day long in 80 degree weather. In cooler winter air, it ran consitant low 13s. It was a pretty fast car. It was a solid mid 13s sec car (in average track conditions). In cold weather (low DA) conditions it was a low 13 sec car.

My stock A4 94 Z28 (LT1) ran 14.0s @ 100 mph when it had low miles.

When you've got time here's a good 10 page read from LS1.COM. There's lots of guys who have run low 13s bone stock in LS1 A4 Fbodys.

I had a lid and catback 99 A4 Z28 that ran 13.2's all day long.

Yeah. 2011 is a good year for Ford.

Kudos. Time for GM to answer. :-)

That's so high-school, yes find a new hobby. I'm going to go join a Lamborghini forum and then make any post I can about how much the Bugatti Veyron rapes it stock vs stock and how much BETTER it is than the Lambo, then when they call me on it I'll just claim I'm there for "discussion" purposes and to keep the forum full of healthy competition.

I mean seriously, this is a CAMARO forum,.....yet there seems to be more Mustang threads PRAISING the Mustang this or the Mustang that as opposed to more Camaro threads. There are some stang owners here who really are here for discussion of the competition and so on and then on, but the other remaining members are here for nothing more than to put down the other car whenever they see a chance so they make they're brand favorite car look like the holy grail,.....but with a horrible rear-end.
wow some of you guys get really bent out of shape just because a 6cylinder Mustang is running in auto LS1 territory. You guys dont even drive LS1 cars so the personal attacks are really unwarranted. We can have a discussion of what typical LS1's do (on another thread) if thats what you want.

I never said this was a typical 6cylinder run but from the trap speeds a lot of them are getting, we will see numbers like this much more often and maybe even better!

i must be good at getting factory freaks...my 00 z28 went 13.32 bone stock, lid and a hypertech it went 12.96.

my l99 went 12.90 bone stock, which is why i can't wait till atco opens back up cuz now there will be tons of mustang fan boys there for me to decimate with my heavy ass, under powered automatic camaro.

youre right you HAVE been lucky!! Your 13.0 run (if youre gonna round 12.97, might as well round the right way) is the second fastest recorded stock L99 run on the fastest list on this site!

and dont underestimate your car. Its a tad overweight and puts out a little less power than the LS3 cars but theyre still plenty quick! The better gearing and 50more hp than an LS1 F-Body makes it enough for the L99 to overcome the 350-400lbs weight difference and run a bit faster than them.

i drove the car to a 12.90 (unofficial list ) but due to a red light it is not "recognized" as an official time by the forum. You're absolutely right, the gearing is very helpful in these cars.

it makes no sense not to have red light runs in the list but i get it. i should check out the unofficial list as well then.

if red lights dont count, then do the runs where you "lose" to the other car not count as well??

That is absolutely pointless. Why on earth would red light runs not be considered official for these purposes when all that is being addressed here is e.t. and mph? It's not as though the timing gear somehow becomes less accurate when you red light. I would be very curious to know the reasoning behind this one.

My best guess is that despite the redlight having no impact on MPH or ET, it does foul the run.

it only fouls the run if youre bracket racing but it doesnt change the fact that a certain time was run. IMO it should be official, but hey i dont run this site or make the rules. I was under the assumption that the unofficial list were just unverified runs (no time slips)

nah, the unofficial list is runs that redlight and/or DA adjusted times. none of my runs are adjusted for DA. it ran what it ran, i don't care about "what it should've run"
