You young ones will really figure it out when your insurance company renewal comes around. Self control will be inevitable.... They will get into your wallet and boy o boy your certainly don't want to pay high risk insurance and own a high performance car.
Been there done that....

You know, I'm 20 and have never been in an accident, and my last ticket was three years ago. Its not all of "us young ones."

I've never gotten a ticket or been in an accident. My post above is the closest call. I'm 19, been driving for over 3 years.

You haven't had a ticket in 3 years, you have gotten wise. I was talking about the 2 in one month and 2 in 3 days

Yeah, well, I must have forgotten to mention that the ticket three years ago is the only ticket I've ever gotten. You're generalizing to a group (humanity) that is so vast that in 99% of situations the number of people who are "outliers" will be at least equal to, if not greater that that of the generalization.

Yes, more "young ones" speed than "old farts" but that by no way means, or even implies, that there are more "young ones" who speed than "young ones" who do not speed.

Well life a bitch. And young people might have the speeding stereotype, but Id rather have that then the stereotype of driveing too slow.

You know...it IS that stereotype that allows Insurance companies to rob us, right? I don't want it!

I hate paying more for insurance after almost 5 years of a virtually spotless record, and two voluntary defensive driving courses, than my fiance who just got her license a year ago.

lol normally traveling down I-5 in oregon we do 100+ on our way down to reno lol a line of classic cars (or truck hauling classic cars) draws alot of att, but we have never gotten pulled over or tickets lol

I hear ya tjbusa but the dent in the wallet has never detered me. Its my thinking I have to change not the lowering of my bank balance!

I really want to stop speeding cos I could hurt me or someone else. That will just kill me if I ever did that. I just want to know how to best go about it. Are there self help groups for speeders etc, and no, I'm not kidding!

Maybe I will look into some sort of therapy as to why I love speeding so much, has my life become THAT mundane that I need to seek excitement on the roads.

One thing I will say is that I do drive safe and in control else i WONT ever speed ie in high volume traffic ... only when the roads are virtually empty.

What to do? I wanna make this change before the Camaro cos I know I will go NUTZ with it!!

I'm sure there are probably some self help groups.

No, sorry. I don't have a problem with speeding. I tend to drive the speed limit or just a hair under it. My car attracts enough attention as it is in the small town I live in. No need to attract more.
