you weren't able to, actually. we're all capable of going to forums and finding averages of posted drag times and talking about which cars are faster then other cars. find a new hobby.

When will you guys realize your making arguments that are impossible to win. How many posts do we need explaining what a mustang runs vs a camaro? I hate to tell you guys ,but I've spent a lot of time at drag strips over the years ,and I've never seen any car win every race that it ran. Buy a car because you like the car not because you think it's faster than the other guy. Because guess what? There is always someone faster.

That wasn't the conversation at hand. I quoted a person who was talking about "running with," which implies performance measurements not what the car is mechanically equipped with.

I'm sure you'd have to say that the Camaro SS is "RIGHT there" with the stock Cobras also.

agreed wholeheartedly.

however, there are a couple of posters whose sole existence here is to remind us that the averages of time slips posted on internet forums show that their preferred car is actually faster and better, and constantly snip pot shots against the camaro. pretty annoying to read it all the time.

I've been on auto forums for a decade and this is the first time I've seen people with a car that doesn't fit in with the boards category, hang around day in and day out boasting superiority.

I enjoy conversation with anyone who loves cars and racing, but they have to be open minded enough to respect everything in the category for what they are capable of, or it just reaks of fanboyism.

Yeah,.....it's no secret, everyone knows Evil Twin will ride Ford's jock until the sun sets. Why join a forum of a car you don't even own -or like, so all you can do is make post about how that particular forums car isn't better than the particular brand car than you prefer? That's so high-school, yes find a new hobby. I'm going to go join a Lamborghini forum and then make any post I can about how much the Bugatti Veyron rapes it stock vs stock and how much BETTER it is than the Lambo, then when they call me on it I'll just claim I'm there for "discussion" purposes and to keep the forum full of healthy competition.

I mean seriously, this is a CAMARO forum,.....yet there seems to be more Mustang threads PRAISING the Mustang this or the Mustang that as opposed to more Camaro threads. There are some stang owners here who really are here for discussion of the competition and so on and then on, but the other remaining members are here for nothing more than to put down the other car whenever they see a chance so they make they're brand favorite car look like the holy grail,.....but with a horrible rear-end.

I just ignore those people. There are a few on this forum that after a while I get tired of their certain comments and antics. I have decided to just IGNORE them and move on. You will never win the battle. They are like the class bully, once they know they got your numbers they continue to push them, it is what drives them. Silly but it is what it is.

Definately wouldn't stretch it that far. You're taking the fastest time vs average. If you're going to compare fastest time to fastest time, the LS1 A4 Z28 runs wayyyyy faster than that.

I had an LS1 Auto Z28 and it ran 13.5s @ 105 mph or so all day long in 80 degree weather. In cooler winter air, it ran consitant low 13s. It was a pretty fast car. It was a solid mid 13s sec car (in average track conditions). In cold weather (low DA) conditions it was a low 13 sec car.

My stock A4 94 Z28 (LT1) ran 14.0s @ 100 mph when it had low miles.

When you've got time here's a good 10 page read from LS1.COM. There's lots of guys who have run low 13s bone stock in LS1 A4 Fbodys.
