Angry OH SH!T!!! :(

Coming home today I got caught speeding. I know I shouldnt have sped and I know I should have known better to do it without my radar detector on BUT I was going 100+km/h OVER the limit on the highway!

He gave me a break as he owns a Charger RT himself and knows how easy it is to keep the speed down in these beasts.

Anyway it sux and I really want to change my driving habbits but its so hard in this car. :(

Any ideas??? And dont say sell the car cos it aint happening.

I guess "I" have to change the way I think about things but I was born for fast speeds it feels like. This is the second ticket this month!

Anyway, do you guys know if the Magnum has a cruise control? LOL JK!!

Well thats my story for today. DANG!!!!

You need self control. Just like me. I was pulled over doing close to 100mph. But he let me go because he was actually trying to pull over the person behind me who was following too close. But since that day I learned to control myself. (kind of)

Wait... so you were going I'm assuming above 200 km/h (120 mph) or so then?

Sounds like you need to hit up a local track more often. I've never even had the urge to go that fast, so I don't know what to tell you.

Really.... in England I dont think I drove slower that 120mph on the highways ever! That goes for ALMOST everyone.

Yes, 200kmh is nothing to what I've taken her up to!!!!

EDIT: The limiter has been removed electronically!

Yes got a ticket. He cut me a break as the ticket should have been $497, but he wrote me up one for the next bracket down which was $360 ish I cant remember its still in the car and its too cold to go and find out. Im mad cos I could easily buy a car with the money I've pissed away on tickets!! I can ONLY blame myself!

Oh and the other ticket was $109.

I have 3 rules for determining the speed I travel on public (non-track) roads.

Rule 1: If the speed limit is below 65 or above 75, take speed limit and add 10%.

Rule 2: If the speed limit is above 65 but below 75, go 77.

Rule 3: If the roads have ice or snow on them, it is hailing, or raining in torrential amounts such that I can't see even with the wipers on full auto - ignore Rule 1 and Rule 2, and wing it.

P.S. - these are in mph.

Get a four cylinder car. You just slightly step on the gas and they are already at 7500 RPM...(exaggerating)...but you are going to have to like the sound of import cars...I don't care for the sound of them to tell you the truth...

I got a 92mph in a 70, and a 97mph in a 70...in three days...I haven't got a ticket since (knock on wood) been pulled over at least 15 times since, but no tickets...Im used to it. Just get off the gas once you get to the speed limit, accelerate smartly, and use that radar dector!

If you become really desperate, you can always get a prius...

Won't be able to go fast even if you try!

Dude, you are lucky. Getting caught at 2 - 3x the limit? Wow, 'round here that is called racing. Anything 50km/h is racing which carries a $2000 MINIMUM fine, 10k max. First offense has a 7 day license suspension, 2nd is up to 10 years. Your car can be impounded for a week.

Suggestions? Well you could move out to Ontario and live in fear of our racing laws. Or re-limit your car?

I would definitely be all over the cruise control feature. That is what I will be using nonstop in the Camaro. I talked my way out of a ticket in the Impreza last week. If I can get pulled over in the ugly wagon, then I know the Camaro will get me in trouble.
