???? they lost their jets because they got blasted by all of our politicians. and then because of this their were 100 people out on their asses. I just find it ironic that all the politicians that blasted them pretty much caused 100 people to lose their jobs.

But I'll assume you're not talking about Wagoner...hate to get into that discussion again.
Nope...was talking about the clowns (CEOs) that got the original buy out of $700 billion. Paper pushers that really don't have a job. I'm all for helping out people that have workers that actually work.

Off topic, so will chill now...

but no one says a word about the politicians who have their own private jets and get paid how much a year? tho Obama's working on that right now.

I find it funny that our own gov has nearly drowned this country the way it has. the gov should have a fear of its people, not the other way around.

Ok so i haven't really posted in here for a few months.

Is it so wrong for a person who has worked hard all their life to get to the top to still be making millions of dollars? Do any of you know what kind of stress CEO's go through? The average worker works from 9-5 and goes home, but the life of a CEO is not that way. Every hour of the day and night is spent working, I know some of you will say, "well what about when he takes a vacation or goes out to eat somewhere high price," that man/woman is still working, trying to make his company better.

Now when it comes to Unions, there once was a time when you needed them and in some places you still do, but for the most part many union members need a union just to fight the union they are in. Many unions have just grown to big and now only the higher ups benefit while the low end workers are left suffering when the company starts to go down.

Any union people willing to do that???? didnt think so.

ok excuse me they are working for a dollar each. because they have to be paid something. Lets see if any union worker will even worker for 10 dollars an hour let alone 1 dollar a year.
Just one question? Do you work for $10 an hour and if so, are you surviving?

For one thing when my dad was paying me I got less than minimum wage. I would ask for a commission when I sold a car and he would say I will buy you dinner tonight. But now I don’t take a check when I work. And I’m not a Union member who has been dragging down GM for years, and continue to do so.

The unions USED to be a good thing. Not anymore. When GM fires a guy for a lack of productivity but is forced to rehire him a week later by the union, you know there's a problem.

Believe me guys, my dad has seen it all. The union does protect workers against things like unfair wages, but for the most part, it's become nothing more than a refuge for people who like to complain about the dumbest things.

Example: At Norwood Assembly, the union requested that GM provide some floormats for the assembly line workers. GM agreed, but the floormats were delayed for some reason. The union actually decided to strike over floormats. The lazy guys walked off the line, my dad and the majority of people there laughed and kept working.

Man you are really ignorant. What is your gripe with the unions and your leniency towards CEOs? Who do your think runs GM? Oh wait you are a car salesman. That explaines everything.

ceos are educated. They work to get where they are. The deserve whatever pay they can get them self’s key word get them SELFS. Do you see any CEOs striking when they don’t get what they want??? Nope the ceos get what they want by working hard and moving up the ranks. Not picketing when they don’t get paid to drink beer and watch TV when they are laid off. And I’m not really a car salesman only sold a few cars.

Your saying some pretty harsh things about working class people! I am not in the union myself, and I know in every crowd there are bad apples. You seem insistant on that all people in the union are lazy, and don't deserve the wages and benefits they are paid. I think that there are people who are not in the union that fit this category as well. But I also know without a union that there just may not be a middle class. Without the union I would not be paid what I am, and I am not in the union. So yes there are bad apples in every crowd, but please be careful before stereotyping, some of those people are hard working people and have earned every penny they recieve, and that would be an honest days wages, a living.
