Now add tax which for my area is 6% which would be a total of 42940+2576=45516. Long way from 50 and thats buying at sticker.

Im not saying the chally is not more expensive than the maro, its just that you are getting some things you wont with the ss. Once you compare apples to apples the gap closes up.

What do you get with the SRT that you dont get with the 2SS

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Can I say something:

I still say if your willing to buy to but an SRT8, get an R/T and use the leftover money to mod it, seriously the updated 5.7 trumps the outdated 6.1 in everything but horsepower (which is a 35 HP gap ), the are far more efficient, lt damn sure flow better, you can get 25-27 MPG hwy, and is very mod friendlier the the 6.1

Someone on the Challenger forums got a CAI, aftermarket exhaust, and he has the new predator tune pushing ...414 HP, 410 ft of torque

Sales tax in MY area is about 8% on a car which pushes me over $48K easy. That's darn near close to $50K to me.
Sigh, whatever.

Normally I would agree on a 3yr/36K mile warranty...but do any of that and your LIFETIME warranty is out the window. That lifetime warranty would be worth quite a bit to me. Imagine keeping the car 10 - 12 years and still having warranty on the drive train. It'd be pretty nice. The SRT8 should come with that as well especially considering its premium price.

You do have a point, but do note that its said's limited powertrain warranty, who's saids HEMIs would still be built 10 years from now

Hopefully they will, but the only thing Chrysler might crap you out your warranty is the predator tune which is no biggie if you just uninstall the tune and reinstall the stock computer

There are two DI 3.7 and 4.0 phoenix engines that will produce north of 300 horses

the rest should between 200-280 horses

and I can't wait for plum crazy

The dodge dealer told me that you can't combine the discount and 0% financing.

Base srt8 is 42245+ 6 speed is 695, what else are you adding to get it to 45k? My point about ebay is that better deals are to be had. They are now dealing alittle on the srt8, you think they are gonna bend any on the camaro when it first comes out? Some of ya'll are really not too sure what you are talking about. Im not trying to sway anyone towards the srt8. Yeah I realize im on a camaro site, im just trying to inform some that might be on the fence like I am. I seem to be one of the very few that HAS done research on both. Im not going from, "my memory". Whatever you added to the srt8 to get it to 45k make sure you add it on the ss price also, except for the gps and the upgraded stereo that the camaro doesnt even offer. That pretty much leaves the sunroof and $100 tire upgrade.
