me too, got to drive a manual R/T. The sales guy was actually very nice and not pushy at all. He was pretty honest too, he said he knows there's a special coming on monday but I'd probably know more about it than he does
He's gonna call me on monday.

the test drive itself was not tooooo bad. roomy, powerful, better handling than expected. i don't like the "pistol grip" shift stick though. i prefer a knob.

i stalled the car when trying to back it into this awkward showcase-parking spot and apparently the battery was dead so they had to push it in there. pushing 4100lbs is no fun

oh btw, went at another dealer they had one with a $1.000 mark up, the car was super dirty and collecting dust. i just smiled at the guy, said loud and clearly "adjusted market value?" and left.

Because I bet 50 years from now the SRT8 is gonna be worth more than a SS

My wife wants me to buy the Challenger over the Camaro based on looks alone, she says the Challenger is what a MAN should drive. We have seen both cars in person too, I am still leaning toward the Camaro but the wife drools over the Challengers!

This is very interesting news folks, no matter how you slice it, and no matter which car you prefer.

This could very well force GM to discount Camaros right off the bat, especially if they start taking in billions in bailout dollars and have to show the government they're doing whatever they can to move product.

Very interesting indeed.

lol. I agree. but that doesnt mean anything to anyone other than a car collector who would be buying both to begin with.

A 2009 SRT 6-speed in Hemi Orange w/ all the option's will be worth big $$$$'s 50's years from now.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Camaro doesn't have the STYLE the Challenger has...
The Camaro's interrior leaves even more to be desired than an SRT's...
Dodge has hardly unleashed the true power of the 6.1 Hemi...
And after having my Hemi Ram for over 5 years... I would never doubt the quality of Dodge, and it's hard to consider buying a different make vehicle...

Are you kidding me?

The interior on the SRT is bland as shit. WTF are you talking about????

I have one friend that drives a dodge, and this is an exact quote from when i suggested he upgrade to the challenger "Wtf no. I hope dodge burns in hell"

That's what I said a few posts earlier.. I have a Camaro pre-ordered and I love the Camaro, however if I can get a Challenger with employee pricing and 0% financing while I have to pay MSRP for the Camaro with interest on the loan, I may go with the Challenger if GM doesn't at the very least match one of those two options.. Remember, the GM dealers don't have to even allow employee or supplier pricing if they don't want to as Kendal Chevrolet definitely does not..And Kendal Chevrolet in Miami has a $5,000 minimum markup and that doesn't include extra dealer fee's.. I think in this case, every Dodge dealer has to follow with this Employee discount t because they get fully re-reimbursed as if they were selling MSRP.. And I don't think they would mind that because currently they have the SRT8's and RT's with huge markups and they are not selling.. Yes, GM has many sold orders for the Camaro, however I wonder how many like me might jump ship at this point to save lots of money and have just as good a quality American muscle car (yes I know that point is debatable).
