It's -3F out; how do you clean your baby?

Just curious to see the zany (if so) ways my fellow C5ers take care of their babies if they had (god forbid) to take them out on snowy or otherwise 'not my baby!' weather?

Me, took it out a few times now and she gathered a bit of the usual dust/salt cake. Wash cloth, quick detailer and a soft towel.. good as new. Underside though.. different story. Gonna get it undercoated though.

Mine's tucked away under sheets on a trickle charger in our shop building. It's not going anywhere.

Optimum no rinse

http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-no-rinse.html

You can wash your car with only 2 gallons of water. It's like a cross between quick detailing and full on washing your car. You put a few capfulls into a 2 gallon bucket and dip your sponge into the water and then wipe your car down, then use a microfiber towel to dry. Use warm water and wash your in your garage.

I think I've driven mine 4 miles in the past 2 weeks. I hate Ohio.

Neat. Never heard of that stuff before. Have to give it a try. White streaks of salt in the winter has always bothered me.. Granted its not -3 out, but still imposible to wash the car without turning it into a ice covered mess.

Don't worry. If you saw the car up close you'd see that it's better off looking presentable than saving the current top coat/paint. It's got chips to the metal. I'm just keeping an eye and trying as best I can to prevent any rust/oxidation from starting. Underside will survive.

Come spring it's going under the knife.. no more wash cloth + quick detailer after that, rest assured.
