I'm normally a domestic only buyer. But for the first time I bought a foreign car. At the time Mazda was owned by Ford. But there wasn't another car on the market that gave me what I wanted for the price. But in most cases I will alway buy American and even more so GM

I have always owned GM, and always will. I am an American and I want to support American industry. Buying a foreign car "made in America" may make some people legitimize their choice,(Kool-Aid drinkers) but not as far as I am concerned. Yes, this is still a free country, and you can buy your foreign car if you like, but don't be upset if I happen to spit on it.

No, its a side benefit. Its the car that I want, and the fact that the engines (V8's anyway) are being built 1/2 an hour from my house and the car assembled 1 1/2 hours away is a bonus.

Absolutely.

A) My dad worked for GM for 30 years. I am immensely loyal to the company that gave my dad a good paying job.
B) GM builds the best cars, trucks, and SUVs in the world.
C) I want the money I spend on new cars to stay in the US, not shipped overseas to Japan.

The only non-American car we have ever owned was a Mercedes...suffered from a leaking sunroof, rusting body panels, insanely expensive maintenance costs...we have never bought an import ever again.

With the exception of an M3 or an Aston Martin, I will always own domestic vehicles. Thus far US companies have done a good job of supplying exactly what I want at a competitive price, so its never been a very difficult decision for me. If this trend were to fail though, I'd like to think that I could still compromise and support my national economy rather than contributing to its deterioration.

Of course, if I ever win the lottery, all bets are off and I'm walking straight to an Aston Martin dealership with a suitcase full of cash.

This is a completely non-issue for me. Almost every new car that's coming out that looks good IS American. So...duh!

It is a factor. My relationship with Chevrolet started with a 1954 Chevy straight six (210) ,then 1956 2 dr hardtop bored 265 ci, then 1959 Impala 348 ci, then the real one, 1962 300HP Roman red Vette w/black top (convertible) then off the bow tie with 1966 GTO, then married with 1966 biscayne wagon (family truckster), then 1969 Kingswood Estate with big block 427/335 hp (scared a few with that one), 1974 TTop Vette built engine (still have) Then a series of Japan built..current Toyota Highlander, wife has 2003 Silverado 1500HD (Great truck) The choices are many, but I believe this Camaro represents a great opportunity to show what GM and our industrial force can do. I am confident of the choice. Go USA! (I am a senior turn 65 this spring)

I'd really like to hope you're kidding because that's an extremely poor attitude to have.

I am Canadian but I would base my car buying decisions on the features, functions and price of the car rather then who makes it.

The spitting part is really the only problem with the attitude.
