Thumbs down its a ghetto thing

Using a chain for a burnout is as ghetto as it gets, not to mention it looks like its in the projects. A ricer is a ricer no matter how you define it. I could do the same burnout with a ford focus if I had it chained to a really big brick.

Dude. Let up.

This IS a Camaro forum. Rivalry is fun.

I accept and wear the names they give us as a badge of honor. They should do the same.

I seriously doubt anyone here has hurt this guys feelings.

Oh, and I bet that ricer has a manual tranny. lmao

What is the "true" definition of a ricer? The name ricer is derived from the asian countries, so I would think any asian manufactured car would be a ricer...

It's very much like the 'Pony car' Muscle car' thing. It depends on who and where as to the definition. There is no OFFICIAL def.

To me, it's steryotypical. I consider, small, low cylinder motored, foreign Asian cars, that are moded in any way, to be 'Ricer'.

Some think you should have to add some 'Ricer' parts to it. i.e...... high spoilers, coffee can mufflers, lots of stickers. lol etc.............. I guess I somewhat agree.

I thought at first it was rude and racially crappy to refer to them as that. But it seems to be widely accepted, so I guess not.

Anyway, to me, Ricer isn't a bad thing, just stupid.

Kinda like Texas Longhorns. They do pretty much the same thing as everyone else, but you have to question their affiliation. Why would anyone EVER want to be a Longhorns fan.

(LMMFAO, so I guess LONGHORNS FANS = RICERS)

Ignorant and uncalled for comments, Randy. HAHA j/k

If you have to tether your vehicle to a concrete road barrier to do a burnout, you need to seriously re-evaluate your life choices.

And everyone saying they're doing it for safety is missing a key element. If that chain were to snap, there could be several critically or mortally wounded individuals in the vicinity. If you're ever going to think about EVER tethering a vehicle to anything, always use a properly rated NYLON tow strap.

And if they were really trying to be safe, as was mentioned earlier, they would have had someone very nearby with a very big ass fire extinguisher.

NOT RICE:

Yes, the term "rice" or "ricer" was derived from asian made cars, but it has since then transformed into a derogatory term...

RICE:

lol

I agree with your examples.

BUT, I don't see Ricer as a derogatory term.

When I say Ricer, I am talking about a small, moded, Asian car no matter what.

The second group of pics I'd say Ricer Idiots.......

The first I'd just say Ricer.

you may not see it, but that doesn't mean it isn't true. There was a thread on here earlier about the use of the word "oriental" when referring to an asian person. To some, they do not realize saying, "that oriental guy..." is derogatory, but it is. Oriental is a rug. lol

I guess me being in the import scene for a good part of my life, I've seen/heard the term "rice" a whole lot. A guy in the import scene and sees the group of pictures i posted, none of them will say the first group of cars is rice.
