Guess it shouldn't have been run that hard, notice the shift light coming on a second before the motor let's loose.

Sounded like it was making good power. Its funny to see the hillbillies standing around trying to figure out what happened LOL. (all they need to do is look at the explosion of parts on the floor)

#4 rod let go. or otherwise not a good day

guy apparently has a built shortblock ready to go in the car that can handle 2000hp.

shift lights are set lower than redline due to how fast the RPMs climb in lower gears. once you get to 4th, the rpm climbs slower so to "tach it out" you need to ignore the light.

Why? is your car making over 1000hp on the stock block?

As I stated in the other thread... shit breaks when modded. Do you think this was a STOCK GT500? Ummm hell no.

Stock short block GTs are good to about 450 rwhp... Stock short block GT500s lets just say LESS THAN THIS GUY WAS RUNNIG but we have a 2007 supercharged GT thats putting about 465-470 rwhp and the shop says NO MORE!

People love to poke fun at Ford with this video, I bet we could find other cars that did the same thing...

I was thinking the same thing.... all in the classic wife beater t's
and the guy in the trunk. Set the angle so you dont have an issue with traction on the dyno, or at least I've seen 1100 hp not slip when done properly.

As far as the engine toasting, it could happend to any engine, has nothing to do with it being a Ford, unless you look at it as an undersized v8 that they tried to do to much with.

How come every single Mustang thread in the past two days have been merged into the MEGA thread, but they keep this one open?

Doesn't seem fair to throw the specific LT1 vs 05 GT, 2010 SS vs 03 Cobra, and V6 vs V6 thread all into the 2,200 post MEGA thread, but leave this one un-moved.

It isn't like members have been behaving badly and this is now our punishment for it. You would be better off just closing the threads because how do you expect members to conversate on one GIANT thread that now contains 5 new threads about 5 different specific topics.

Thanks for the criticism.. I tell you what, you can go hold the mustang boards as accountable as you are holding us. for fairness.

I apologize for the sarcasm. but please... don't accuse us of not being fair.

I'll admit that mass merg of mustang threads is annoying... However, there is an entire board of Camaro fans that don't like seeing mustang threads all over the place.

And also it seems, to us, that the mustang owners just love to rub our noses in it anytime anything mustang or ford realted hits the streets...

So you'll have to forgive me a little if I seem biased... You'd have to see it from our side I guess.
