Very cool car Muscle Master... If you end up getting it you should get some real world times and see how they compare to the SS

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

i wouldnt count on it... the L99 ran a 4.7-8 0-60

If i were you (seriously. i concidered doing it myself) The first thing you need to do is strip all the crap out of that car you dont need. Go through the whole thing, taking out all kinds of stuff that isnt immediately important. You do that, and the car will be an Animal.

The biggest difference between adding hp vs. taking off weight.... HP makes it faster, Weight effects EVERYTHING, handling, speed, milage etc.

And how many times do we have to go thru this, THE V6 CAN NOT RUN WITH THE R/T......405 FT OF TORQUE

I'm just speculating but I think the 6-speed R/T can run with the L99...shy of 10 HP and 250 lb weight difference, It might run with it
Beautiful car, so I hope you are happy. I'm confused about your Dad not wanting to go with Chrysler Financial. Why wouldn't you want 0%? No Bank or credit union is going to offer that, or can you not get 0% on the Challenger?

If it was available, I think you should have opted for the 0% financing which no credit union would have been able to match.. However that is your call.
