IMHO episode 2 was better than 1. I am willing to give them some time, but I just don't know how Adam and Rutledge are going to work out.

I liked it, yeah the hosts are not the greatest but I watch it for the cars. Even when I watch the UK Top Gear I fast forward the interviews and stuff. I just wanna see the cars. I love the cinematography.

i watched it.. its not as good as the UK Top Gear... i would have liked to see Adam Corolla on the show... i know he says things cut and dry (like me) and personally would like to see him get at the UK Top Gear... they could create some hype by going into the past Top Gears where they made fun of US cars and correct the stigma behind them...

I liked how they copied the UK camera angles... one of my pet peeves are the Hollywood directors that try and overly shoot auto shows.. its obsurd that everything has to be properly divided and "square" filmed... along with information flashing on the screen about the cars, guests, hosts, etc... the people introduce themselves ONE time, we dont need to be reminded like the History channel about who's talking... nor does the show need to set up who the hosts are EVERY episode like Battle of the Supercars... its redundancy that fills up air time because the writers honestly suck and cannot create anything unique...

I'm wondering how long before a writer starts adding "your mom is so fat" jokes.

Overall, I found the show interesting. That bit of Faust plowing snow in the Evo was pretty cool. I will continue to watch, because I will watch any show about cars. Except for the show with Dennis Gage... I can't take the 'stache.

Me too. I saw the pilot the other night and nearly cried when they had the three Lamborghinis going full throttle.

There have been a total of 2 episodes, of a show which everyone knew ahead of time was going to be a copy of the UK version, and you guys are complaining that, generally speaking, it lacks its own identity?

If it was nothing like the UK top gear, there would be complaints about that. If it was a perfect clone, the same people would complain about that too.

Give it time to grow and develop and judge it for what it is, not what the UK Top Gear is.

I wonder how the original TopGear looked it's first season when everyone was a noobie and they were getting to know each other?

Something to think about...

I really get the feeling that the guys, even tanner, dont know that much about cars in general. Perhaps this is due to the over scripting but they dont give you any feel for the soul of the car all of the hosts just spat out numbers and then said wohoo im going fast. The show doesnt make you feel like you have driven the cars as the UK version does. Lastly rutledge didnt make any comments about the actors current car or the things that he wants his car to do. I mean if that was clarkson he would have made some funny comment along the lines of GET A CITROEN or a Rinspeed but Rutledge seems like an idiot
