5.0 has been "rumored" for 2011 and this new info just further confirms that. the 4.6 with a slight bump in HP was "rumored" for 2010 and that's what we got.

There's no reason Ford wouldn't put the dual clutch in the Mustang. It's perfect for sporty cars, and really all types of cars. If it provides better fuel economy than a manual with the same response and clutch-less shifting, there's no reason why it wouldn't be in all cars.

Putting words in "quotes" dosen't make them "true".

know much about DCT?

its great really, makes everything better... only problem is, doesnt work very well with high hp/tq.

The best DCT systems in the world, BMW, porsche, audi....

ALL of their cars over 415hp come with a regular SMG auto or Manual. No DCT. And even the M3 (which is the car i reffered I to w/ 415hp) only has 295lb/ft of torque.

Ford seems to be coming out with high HP engines that i DONT believe they can handle with 'Ford Engineering'.

I just dont see it coming to the mustang... especially with the added power load it would be required to handle once people started modding them.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

I think the 5th gen camaro will make it to production for sure, I'M still very skeptical about the 6th gen.

I mean how can anyone assume an automaker would develop any sort of improvement for a model or, oh lets just say an engine for that matter...

Im not skeptical about the 5.0 coming back. Im more skeptical about the hp numbers that are being thrown around. I just dont see 400hp showing up in the Mustang.
