VW foots the entire bill, just like GM did when they gave the G6s away....a total waste of $$$ in my opinion and most likely GM (and other automakers) learned from that mistake and were smart enough to avoid a repeat.

They wouldn't even show the 2012 they had an old one there and had a shade up, so you could see the shadow of the 2012 that was supposedly behind...was probably a cardboard cutout

Props go out to VW for thier charitable self promotion - good to give something back to the consumer in the way of advertising rather than to dump into huge media companies.

I am so glad to see that others agree Oprah is a slob - she walks on a throne of bullshit. That b*tch has some much money that she could never spend it in 10 life times all while leaving her fellow americans that truely need help out to dry. She could care less about anyone that is truely in need.

There was just an article in our newspaper in NYC - a homeless man approached her and she told him she did not have any cash to give him. After pressing the issue he told her a joke and she handed him $100. Now dont get me wrong, nice to give him $100 but why not help him out in life - make him the center of one of your shows how you are truely helping humanity and getting him back into the main stream society.

She also assisted in the upstart of Dr. Phils career. This is yet another slob who does nothing more than attempt to exploit people while in vulnerable times. He will allow anyone to self sacrifice themselves in his pursuit of what they feel is entertainment.

Why not go into the audience and rather than give people stuff they probably dont need - ask each and every one of the audience to bring in thier mortgages or credit card bills and help them pay off or reduce them to give them breathing room. This would really be charitable - and take it from your own checkbook Oprah, dont look for someone else to foot the bill. She makes enough in one day's interest on her money to pay off over $1 million in mortgages or credit card bills.

As a special Christmas present Ellen Degenerate gave Oprah Winfree a ride in her Porsche. Degenerate owns a del Rossi model from Australia.

i don't know why it would upset anyone. Pontiac gave away all those G6's and look what that did for them. and people came away saying it made them look like the cars weren't valuable.

I believe VW, like GM, Ford, Toyota, etc., already do enough by offering vehicles at affordable prices.

Right, because if you make over so much money you have to give it all away.

What a horrible person; donating millions of dollars a year just isn't enough?

Unless you can undoubtedly prove Dr. Phil is a fraud, then this meaningless tug at emotions can simply be done away with by mentioning it is the consumers, or the watchers of his show, who give this man his wealth.

Write a letter/email to her producers about this suggestion. It does get annoying seeing people demonize others simply because the demonized individuals don't do everything that the accuser says he/she must do.

When she is praised as the greatest humanitarian of our generation by countless people, I expect more from her. I have seen her enormous home next to Michael Jordan's on Paradise Island, where she frequently spends time in the suite between the Royal Towers in Atlantis anyway and thousands of people could be helped with that cost. If you are extremely wealthy and live a certain way, that's great and nobody else's business. When your whole career is based on being a generous humanitarian and everyone praises you for it, I expect more than what she does. Much more. It's great she can give away a few million, but please don't act like that's even remotely a sacrifice for her. She's worth well over a billion. That's like me donating $50 and seeking praise for it.
