I agree entirely that 10PM is not prime time, but I don't agree that getting up and out the door by 6:30 to 7:00 AM is what makes a responsible adult. I work a 40 hour week, but my work day doesn't start until 11:00 AM.

I enjoyed it. Probably cause I actually went to one of the taping. What other show shows cars being thrashed around a track or a city!

I admit, the Viper skit was stupid...but seeing the Viper burns its tired to a crisp and the sound of that V10 engine made it enjoyable!! I thought we were car guys!!!!

BBC > Speed

The British verison is way better....hell they made the little Fiat 500 look fun, these clowns made the Viper boring. I actually fast fowarded through most of the show. Maybe it was just a little slow intro to introduce the show to people who don't know it, so lets see what the next one brings.

I'm a responsible adult, and I have no problem watching a TV show at 10 PM...

Yeah, I think saying that no respsonsible adult would be up at 10 is silly at best...... Only adults I know that are really asleep when 10 PM rolls around are, how you say, in their twilight years.....

Forget that, my dad's coming up on 66 and even he doesn't go to sleep at 10.

I watched it! not worth the early morning...... -.- the hosts, as the OP said, SUCK. I loved the European ones. Idk why either, just they cant beat the original. If it had started with these guys it probably would be the other way around but Eurpeans got it first. The guys as Skar said, probably will grow on us.... especially when theyre riding a lambo :P

The Euro version was 1000times better, just show it.

All I know is that I couldn't even get to sleep because my heart was still pounding after watching that Viper get flogged. I s**t you not, seeing him smoking the tires and flipping the car around and going the other way and grabbing the gears got me all fired up!

Ratings are in for the 2nd show, which lost 1/3 of its viewers.

I was one of those, didn't even bother.

The second show was better than the first. The show is fairly entertaining, but the content is clearly copying the British version with different (and not as entertaining) personalities. I don't know why they couldn't have just kept running the British version here.

While I think the original show is more entertaining, I like the us version. For those of you that say Tanner can't drive, I would say you wouldn't know a good driver if he fell on top of you. He's one of the best drivers there is. Not many people can handle a car like him. I can't believe this show seems to be getting written off already after two shows. I for one am going to give them a chance.

I think US Top Gear is pretty good. Not perfect but you can't expect it to be the best thing ever aired on television its first season. BBC has had 8 years and 15 seasons to perfect their formula and allow their hosts to become comfortable. US Top Gear needs to find their own groove and not try so hard to be BBC Top Gear but I am enjoying it and will continue to watch.
