I just hated how you really needed to bash your way to victory (and not only that, many of the achievements in the game are based on it!). If an opponent couldn't find their way around you they have no problem punting you. Many of the fantasy circuits were too tight for the larger and more powerful supercars, and had no flow to them whatsoever, just seemed like a mess of chicanes and hairpins or other obstacles thrown together to piss you off (one of them I swear was designed by the devil himself, I forget which). That and yes the handling of the cars was always just _that_ much off.

I got up to the NFS world tour and basically gave up. Online races weren't much better, laggy and a lot of morons trained on the game too much who just punt you like the AI does. Borderline violent!


That said, I got "Dirt 2" last week. Honestly one of the best racing games I have ever played. The ONLY complaint I have is that it doesn't have 900 degree steering support, but its such a blast anyway.

Lol, I used both. Not too bad considering a demo. Pretty much exactly what I was expecting. I might get this at a later date, or maybe somebody might pick it up for me at Christmas.

Dirt, and Dirt 2 are killer games. I couldn't get the hang of using the wheel with them for some reason tho. By far my fave track was the one in Utah coming down the hill, driving the Dallenbach.

As for NFS games I only like them for running from the cops. I played this demo and I'm not so sure about having all open, high speed tracks. I kinda like the whole jumpping and quick tight turns and hiding from the cops. It will be different but looks to be a good game. It just means I need to set up my car completely different than other NFS games I played. I always ran a Z06 set up for the quickest acceleration possible....cuz who needs top speed when you were turning before you got out of 3rd gear?

See, now I could go get it at best buy after work, play it a couple days, get my copy I ordered from newegg for cheaper, and return the newegg copy to best buy, so it would be like getting my newegg copy today. I really dont care about the BBRZ points I'd loose since I mostly use the internet for shopping anyways. The choices. I still have CoD:BO campaign to go through (been playing online for a while!)

And then GT5 next wednesday, and I have Thur/Fri off!?!!! DAMMIT!

Now I just checked the toys r us ad, and they have a B1G1 40% off as well as for TODAY ONLY: Buy Assassins Creed: Brotherhood or NFS:HP and get a $20 GC. Someone over on Gamefaqs went and did it and his price was $102. You get 2 games (both should be awesome) and a $40 GC (GT5 next week anyone for $20?!?). Now I need to go to Toys R Us, and somehow find a way to sell my copy of NFS:HP (from Newegg) to someone!
