WoW: Cataclysm

I finally got my LK kill in before Cata hit. And it only took 2 attempts. 2nd time we had it down and got him to 10% which is basically the end of the fight.

Now I can take it easy until patch 4.0.3 hits for pre-Cata events.

Noice. I'm nowhere close to being able to run that yet, doubt it will happen before Cata.

As much as I used to be into WoW... this might have to bring me back. A co-worker sent me some details as to why this is being called "Casualysm" and I have to say it's pretty enticing.

Hell yeah it is. Its like they're making a whole new game. I can't wait to fly anywhere I want. I think the first thing I'll do when I get flying in Azeroth (not sure what the level is, I should check) is fly from the northern tip to the southern tip on both continents.

I was thinking that same thing the other night, would be interesting to do just to see how long it would take. And from what I've heard, you won't be able to get it till 85... and it costs another 5000 G :( I'm halfway there right now though....

Hmm, from what I was just reading its somewhere around 200-250g and trainable at level 60 just like regular flying.

That would be freaking sweet.... but I know you buy like a 'flying skill token' or something like that right now for 5000 G, but think you have to turn it in to some guy once Cata is released.

So yes, old world flying = 250 G at level 60, the 5000 G thingy that I saw = updates ALL FLYING MOUNTS to 310% speed!

Not sure what you mean by a token? They just updated it so anyone can get the 310% flying for another 5000g now.

150% - level 60 - 250g
280% - level 60 - 5000g
310% - level 80 - 5000g
Northrend - level 68 - 500g
Azeroth - level 60 - 250g

The Shattering was anti climatic... I was expecting something a little more destroyed. Something a little more Fallout like... its graphically much better though.

Yeah, the improvements to graphics, quest lines, and geometry of terrain (so that you can fly around and not see blank spots and other graphical anomalies) was the main purpose of the shattering. I'm liking it so far, even though I've only had a couple chances to play since it happened (just got back from vacation). Looking forward to exploring some more tonight

I loved the game during the Molten Core, Blackwing lair days. Then I put up with the game when Burning Crusade came out... When Frozen throne was released all hell broke loose, they started catering to more casual gamers and I slowly stopped caring. 4 years in and 1.5 years out now. I am starting to get that itch and had to delete 3 res scrolls from my e-mail the other day...I am trying my best to wait for Star Wars, and did my best to find a free trial of FFXIV to no luck.

Thankfully I have other friends who have recovered from WoW, keeps me going with some MineCraft, Left4Dead 2, Star Craft 2, and other lesser title games.
