Catalytic converter cleaner

Anybody ever use this if so does it help/work? My daughter has a POS neon that is not worth the $800 to replace the converter. Just want to get it by for another year or so.

I put a "universal" convertor from summit and it was only about $100 for a truck I had. It has passed smog twice since then. I doubt very much that the convertor cleaner does anything.

I thought about that, but the converter on the neon is part of the exhaust manifold.

I would doubt the cleaner will do anything except make your wallet cleaner.

I will assume you need to replace it because it won't pass an emissions test?

I didn't use a cleaner.

I just used a dynojet. Should have seen the faces of everyone there when the operator got on it hard in 4th for the pull and POOF black soot out the back.

For a microsecond I thought "There goes my engine.."

Then I smelled it, and realized that this car had been babied waaaaay too much.
