Xbox 360 vs. PS3?

xbox 360 TAG, it has a way better future ahead of it. Companys only know the xbox has sold 10x more than the ps3 so they decide to make more xbox 360 games and it has good exclusives like dead rising, halo, and gears of war and idk if forza is for the ps3 but its a great game also, since its for your kids the xbox offers more veriety of games from games for small kids to gory fun shooting games, the ps3 doesn't have much of the kid games most are just average games that are on xbox also or there exclusives which later come out for 360 and with more gameplay. and btw halo 3 is great for all ages some people look at it as little army soldiers and some as a kickass shoot your face off game.

Dude I don't mean to be disrespectful, But you are flat out lying!! LOL!! I have all 3 systems and in noway do the 360 have a more variety of games than the PS3. From Littlebigplanet to Metal Gear solid 4. 99% of 360 game library are multiplatform titles, meaning what the 360 has, is what the PS3 has. BUUTTT like I said sony has armies of 1st party studios, which means ps3 has more exclusives ON TOP of multiplatform titles. For me it is the downlodable games is where the ps3 beats the 360 like a red headed step child. PSN downloadable games are FANTASTIC compared to the shovelwar of XBLA. From Echochrome to super stardust HD, From High velocity bowling (my moms favorite) to Tekken 5DR, Warhawk (fantastic multiplayer) to Pixels junk monters. Fat princess is around the corner and it is bitchin. the 360 does not have as you say "way more games" besides what matters to you quality or quanity lol. The only 360 exclusives that are really worth mentioning is gears of war 2, But MGS4 is the best game ever made, Halo 3, But Resistance 2 is waaaaaaaaayyyy beter than Halo (I played both), Forza 2, But Gran Turismo is the king of racin sims. Xbox live, but Playstation home was released TODAY AND IT IS COOL AS HELL!! Ultimately it comes down to personal prefernece......
Oh by the way Tag when Tony was talking about 360's "family games" he was talking about Viva pinata and Banzjo-kazooie, they are both terrible games, Trust me your kids will stone you if you buy that for them. Intsead Buy RatchetnClank: tools for Destruction on the PS3 (THAT GAME IS FANTASTIC, I AND MY LITTLE BROTHER ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT GAME) and Little big Planet (the game is addicting like crack). Tag Go to Gametrailers.com their game reviews are top notch and unbais, see for your self, the 2 games I suggest would be heaven for you kids and even yourself if you decide to play.

I was gonna say how much I love this game without bothering to read the next four pages of posts, but it looks kinda dangerous, and I haven't been on this site in forever, and it's 1:19AM, and I should have been preparing for finals, but I was out putting my car through it's paces, and I wanted to chime in before I sleep, and this'll probably be my only post 'til January where things get boring again and it looks like this post is kinda useless, but I won't be here to read the aftermath is may cause anyway, and this is a run-on sentence, but anyway, Wii, PS3, or 360, I'm no fanboy, but my username betrays me. Fords, Chrsylers, GMs, Metal Gears, and Spartans are not created equal

Tag, the wii should be enough unless your looking to push your kids into a technology induced coma.

however if its NOT just for the kids, id go Xbox, for a few reasons.


A. if you not going to be 'exploring the capabilities' with online play, and extras, the Xbox is WAY cheaper (ie. Xbox STARTS at $200 PS3 starts at $400) and the games your kids would be playing would be on both systems. Plus you cant play your PS2 games on your PS3.

B. There is a new Xbox coming out in a year or so, and if you get an Xbox now, you will have hardware that would be compatable with the new one, as well as the games you could play on the new one. If you were to buy a PS3, you'd have to update your whole system and all its componients when the new Xbox comes out.

And dont doubt the new Xbox will blow anything PS has ever done out of the water.

In you Get XBOX 360 you have to xbox live gold it is totally worth it.

I suggest you take the PS3 it is way better than the 360 and you should buy call of duty , metalgear , grand turismo it is the best car game i ever played.

I can't really comment on the topic. All I have is a PS2, and I'm perfectly happy with it. I mostly just use it to play Need for Speed (currently hooked on Underground) and Splinter Cell, though I'm thinking about getting FF XII. I can't afford a 360 or a PS3, but I have a good amount of fun on my PS2.
