Women of all ages drive Mustangs... and silver-haired old men drive the really nice Mustangs.
What does age have to do with the Vette as performance and looks go? As far as the interior goes, granted it has cheap seats but you are surrounded by soft touch materials. Don't forget, this interior is from 2006. Awhile ago somebody posted pics of the guages they'ed like to see in the Camaro and they were from the Vette. This car deserves more respect then it is given.

But it's more that I always see it as you are paying way over on the value of the Vette. Not just performance but the total package. The only Vette I would considered owning would be a ZR1 but I don't think I'd even buy one of those. But I look at as I can buy a Mustang, build that beyond what the Vette is, including the Z06, and still be saving a lot of money and have nicer interior. So it's just from everyone's own perspective which this one is mine.
Obviously you've failed to understand the invested history, and the proven performance capabilities of a Corvette...........and as soon as you design and build the production and manufacturing plant for the IRS chassis for your Ford Mustang SuperCar, and get that million horse power plant in it, please let us know..............I've read somewhere recently shadowdawn is looking for partners to invest in a Flying Saucer Plant located in the mountains of Florida 200 miles west of Tampa.

I love and hate Vettes. I love most everything, but hate them because I don't fit and can't have one!

If my knees didn't hit the dash I'd be driving a Z06 now.

For one, I would rather own the Z06 than ZR1. Like you said, for the money I could have a Z06 and strap a blower or TT on it and be faster than the ZR1 while still having a bad ass car and still being way under the $112,000 price tag of the ZR1. Even after some suspension upgrades you're still under the ZR1's cost.

There are MANY cars that you could build to be as fast or faster than a stock vette. That isn't the point. The point is, you get a blazing fast car that looks timeless and handles as good as exotics costing more than twice as much. You also get this with a bumper to bumper warranty, . Yes there are some negatives like the cheap interior, and very stiff ride, but that's the price you pay for the performance you get. The only car I can think of that even comes close to the performance for the $$, while keeping the factory warranty, is the Shelby GT 500. That's straightline performance as I don't think a 500 could keep up with a vette on a road coarse. Have you sat in a 500 lately? The mustang interior aint exactly plush.

I can't hate on ANY Chevy let alone the Corvette!

The Corvette, to me, is the ultimate American sports car! Besides the Camaro always evolves into the Corvette (powertrain wise) in 5-6 years, so that would be like hating on our own cars!

I Could never Hate a Corvette. The two cars i notice on the road most are the Corvette and the Camaro. I love driving my father's C4 1989 and the 2011 Camaro i have.

The Shelby isn't actually in the same ball park or performance arena of the Corvette, whether its the base, Z06 or ZR1, straight line or otherwise. Wasn't it revamped soley to compete with/against the Gen5 SS? Neither the Shelby or Gen5 are in the SuperCar class, and neither can push or exceed the 200 MPH mark.

Hmmm, I wouldn't own a Corvette simply because I've never seen one that appeals to me, but I certainly haven't seen and "hating" on this site.
