The Camaro and the Z06 are just two totally different cars. You really can't compare the two because they are different classes of cars. I'd take the Z06 over the Camaro given the choice because simply I can't afford a Z06 and would like to experience owning one.

However, I've sat in in both and I have to say the camaro is a much more confortable car. Also the Camaro actually gets more attention. I'm very happy owning my camaro and since I can't afford owning a Z06 I don't even think about one. You have to be happy with what you have.

Does it have better paint ?

Me. Not a fan of Corvettes. My roommate has one and IMO it isn't comfortable. Sure it's stupid fast for the cost, that's the only thing I like about it.

Congrats. And don't even sweat the negative comments. No offense but in no way is a Camaro even compairable to a Vette let alone a Z06.

First off they are completely differnt cars with a different market.

Vette/Z06 = supercar/sports car, with exclusiveness at an afforable price considering what it does.

Camaro = sports coupe, that is made to be an affordable fun car for the everyday guy.

The Vette is the flagship car of GM and American Sports Cars whereas a Camaro is an American Ponycar that will unfortunately always be second fiddle the Mustang nameplate due to history, global recognition and sales over the course of 40+ years. And don't get me wrong I am a Chevy Camaro guy not trying to knock the Camaro, I like it alot more than th Mustang as far as looks. But the only thing a Camaro has on a Vette is ride comfort for everyday driving or long trips. Although my 2011 C6 GS with Magnetic Ride is night and day more comfortable than my '08 Vette w/o Mag Ride for everyday driving or long cruises.

I have had noth cars and i realize we are on a Camaro forum but don't knock the guy for buying a Z06. I mean it is still a GM car and a car that most of us could only dream of having!

Nice Black Beauty Sav. Good luck and be extra safe. As a paramedic I have run calls on many splintered Vettes and their owners. Not nearly as many Camaros have I seen in the "completely destroyed" Hall of Fame.

AMEN! They didn't call the Camaro "the Poor Man's Corvette" for no reason. The day the Vette goes away is the day Chevy follow's Pontiac's path into oblivion. (see Pontiac History thread in other topics with video link)
