3D question

Well i have a Panasonic PT-AE200U Projector with an Elite Tension 92inch Screen and i want to start buying 3D blu-ray movies.(I know theres only like 5 blu-ray 3d movies out right now) my question is; is it possible to use the projector to watch the 3D movies if i upgrade my blu-ray player or do i have to buy a 3d tv set to watch them with the new glasses too?

I read somewhere where any DLP projector could be turned into a 3d projector using the polarized glasses (like Real D 3D at the movies).
This would not work for 3D Blu-ray movies as they sync the frames (screen image) with the glasses, that have high speed shutters in them.

As you can see they want top dollar for 3D projectors! You might want to wait few years before converting.

Jesus and i thought my projector was expensive when i bought it 2 years back. And that projector looking at the specs seems like its more for a movie theater producing more lumens than the contrast ratio so the picture won't be sharp and for 14k!!!! thank you guys for the help

3D TVs are like BETAMAX machines.

a quick fad, till they solved that the majority of folks get queezy with the shutter glasses, why 3D games bombed out in the early 90s, same glasses, same queezy effect.

I still haven't convinced myself that HD movies are worth the extra cost, let alone what it would take to get into the 3D stuff. I'll stick with my standard DVD's

Constant use of 3D glasses will take a toll on your vision. Take it from me, I know.

DUDE...

HD = EPIC. I was a skeptic at first also, but there's a big difference

Plus that, its not a good design or even new, just recycled.

The colored glasses 3D is more user friendly, still an eye trick but not so harsh, the shutter glasses are a bad idea all around.

Its not worth the cost if you plan on building a huge BD collection like most of us did with VHS and then DVD.

I started using Netflix last year and this was my deciding factor to upgrade my hardware. Now, if I really want to own the movie, I wait 6 months and pick it up at Wally World for $10!

Panasonic VT25 65 inch plasma. The colors and brightness in standard, hd, and 3d are all amazing.

We also have 100 inch infocus setup up stairs. With sound systems on both. I love watching movies.

I am a huge 3D fan.

For those that think 4k or 3D without glasses are coming, you have at least 5 years if not longer until they come out. Oled will be the next big thing.

I am personally waiting for them to come out with true hologram sets.
