You're right. Being more of a simulation-type game person, I usually go for the feel. Having bought several of the last itterations of NFS, though, I'm just feeling less-and-less like liking the newest games. The last one I really liked was Underground... Pro Street's drag racing was good, for the most part, but still left some to be desired. I don't think I'm getting any of that in GT5 but I still have FM3, so that makes up for that a wee bit.

I certainly think every car person who plays games should check it out though

You mean when I slam into the back of a Pagani Zonda in a Corvette Z06 in real life, they wouldn't flip over the roof of my car and take out everyone behind me?

I played the demo tonight and I enjoyed it. It seems like it could be a really fun game (and less frustrating that it doesn't seem to be open world). That said I don't think I'd pay $60 for it, but I would get it in the used game bin for $30 and not feel bad.

I'm getting both GT5 and NFS. GT5 is postponed probably until December or early next year, so I should have NFS finished by then. Criterion Games also worked on making it so it should be similar to Burnout Paradise.

Just downloaded/played. Pretty fun IMO. I refused to drive the 370Z so I had to use the Crown Vic.

Just pre-ordered NFS-HP today and downloaded the demo on my PS3. I'm a huge fan of Burnout Paradise (my first Plat Trophy). Very similar game-play to Burnout... it's awesome!! Can't wait to play the Camaro SS!!

Look me up on PSN: lobobuzz

The Camaro badge on the Camaro is really low on the Camaro in this game, and I cannot get over it.

Ahh Shift... had all the elements to be so good.....

And ultimately ended up just way to frustrating for both casual racers and sim fans, as well as way too "gamey" for sim fans.

I was watching "the making of God Of War III" yesterday and the project leader said it was so important to keep playing and playing while they are working on the game and if at any point the player isn't smiling it probably needs to be changed. If you ever feel like throwing the controller in frustration it immediately needs to be changed.

Luckily my steering wheel/pedals setup weighs like 40 lbs or it would have been thrown out the window many times playing Shift.

I could never get any of the cars exactly right in Shift. I'd always go to a Quick Race on that trioval track to see how well they would do after buying one or upgrading one, and my Corvette was always too loose and the supercars were always too tight.
