Kind of stupid that you have to shut off the car then start it up again with the other key.. the bugatti has 2 keys but also 2 key holes.. the regular ignition then a second one on the left side of the driver on the floor.

why is that stupid? 2 keyholes is dumb. I would rather have a key than have to shut the car off and plug in a hand held tuner and wait? How many people with tunes change them back and forth, the key is the best way.

The second Keyhole in the Bugatti is to allow top speed mode which lets it hit 253 mph, other wise it is limited to "only" 220 mph. Using the separate key on the Bugatti change a lot of things (retracts the wing, adjusts the diffuser, lowers the suspension to almost ground kissing), its something that you would never use on the street nor would you ever want to accidentally engage.

Exactly!! With the Corvette's various models(and don't forget the awesome CTS-V) and with GM already having good success with the Camaro SS, they seem to be dragging their feet on getting the Z28 out. I also think that if GM brought the Camaro convertible out it would ramp up Camaro sales a little and also take some away from the Mustang.

GM's got bigger things to worry about, but fortunately everything seems to be falling into place. Ford has the luxury of great financials and extreme growth at the moment, so making a billion mustang variants is no problem. PPS going from just over a dollar to over 14 in under two years has that effect on a company. . .

Love the idea , but agree that it would have been better implemented in some sort of a switch instead of a key swap and restart ..

IIRC the tuning changes the red key carries are "off road only" meaning they are not emissions compliant. I doubt they would be able to have those changes at the flick of a switch without some problems.

not a bad time at all.

That 107mph trap could get him into the 12s.
