I sent off an email to a guy who works at the farm. Even if they still are in their headlocks, someone would notice and let them out.

Cows stick their heads through the bars to eat feed in the manger below. Their necks slide the bar to the right and the top part latches onto a metal tab. Their heads are locked into place by the bars and you can halter them or AI them or whatever.

Doesn't hurt them. Usually they're so preoccupied with eating that they don't even notice.

How could an animal so large have such a tiny brain?

Eat and sleep. Such is the life of a cow. Although one heifer, 4523, aka Sadie, has figured out that her head and neck are small enough so that they don't trigger the headlock as long as she doesn't lean over too far.

I'll have to take pictures of my Buckeye Dairy Club shirt whenever I get it. It's pretty funny.

I miss him so much...I wish I could at least talk to him, but he won't get an international SIM card...it's no big deal to him, but as the mom, it's hard...

Aww Donna....it would be great if he'd get the SIM card so you could talk to him. I think he's prob having the time of his life (who wouldn't be?) but I can't imagine he doesn't miss you too! He just does not realize that you are worried (kids don't think of these things - even I don't at my age) but parents always worry about their kids.
Mine still worry about me but I think they consider me "special"

I hope you hear from him soon

Don't count on it. DI will probably be 2013 MY at the earliest, maybe 2014. IF there is a power gain, it will probably be around 10-20 hp from things like revised intake and/or exhaust, or just electronically retuned.
